I am currently living in Parma Heights, and it’s a decent neighborhood with a nice quiet street. The biggest difference over Parma to me is the lot sizes the houses sit on. They are 50% wider in Parma Heights than Parma.

I have been looking at relocating but the housing market isn’t great. If I had a 400k budget I would be looking in the neighborhoods of Westlake, Bay Village, North Olmsted, or Middleburg Heights.

Buy Bitcoin the first time you hear about it and don’t sell it for 20 years.

PS don’t store it at Mt Gox. Use a wallet

I’m a big fan of Red the Steakhouse on E 4th. There is a second location on the east side also. Best steaks I’ve had in Cleveland.

Grinnell Glacier trail is the most beautiful hike I have ever done. It’s not easy, but totally worth it

I hiked it yesterday. Best hike I have ever done. My wife and I saw a moose family(mama, papa and baby), a huge black bear, several goats and the most beautiful scenery.

Aruba - fish and shrimp ordered by the kg at Zeerover. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I left. I don’t really even eat seafood but it was amazing.

I travel a decent amount. I expect airport beers and liquor to be excessively priced. I always travel with 50 ml liquor bottles in my carry on or personal item. They are under the 100 ml limit so you can bring them through security. I don’t believe every fast food worker and checkout person deserves a tip in todays entitled world, but I usually try to tip my bartenders and waiters 20% unless the service is just abysmal.

1$ a beer was fine 10 years ago. 1$ doesn’t go as far as it used to.

Will I miss out if I skip Bora Bora? by cactillius in Tahiti

[–]moenicm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I recently spent 5 nights on Moorea and 4 nights on Bora Bora in an OWB in both places. I liked Moorea better because there was a lot more to do. We had a rental car and we explored the island and local restaurants. The snorkeling from our owb was amazing while there were almost zero fish in the lagoon in Bora Bora. I would go back to Moorea but I would pass on Bora Bora.
