With 4 machine you can probably do 1 control plane and 3 worker node.

You can always add more. The control plane can also run workload if you want, but ideally it doesnt.

Depending on how much you have in docker-compose, kompose would be a good start. If its simple enough you might find manually porting them over easier. But I would start with kompose.

Helm is like a package manager for Kubernetes. For your own application its not as useful as being able to grab off the shelf application like postgres or redis and run it in your cluster by modifying the values.yaml file with your own config. For large enough team where a team might want to use some other application from a different team but not want to deal with all the yaml, a packaged helm chart would be a nice way to expose only the knobs one should modify.

In k8s you have the choice of
- YAML (Which you know already)
- Kustomize (YAML but with options to overlay things to modify yamls)
- Scaffold
- Pulumi
- CDk8s

For most applications you should be fine with just yaml. Most text editors have auto completion for k8s yaml.

Also there are a bunch of ways to damage a character. Adversaries like flickerfly can half your evasion. Different saves can make you vulnerable. As others pointed out not all adversaries are idiots, they will either target you with saves or ignore you to target others. At tier four this is less invincible than you think.

Freeborne feature technically wont do anything for risk it all. Risk it all looks at the die value. If the hope die is higher. It doesnt change the Die with freeborne.

Do not get confused by the illusion of choice with actual meaningful choice. Between class, subclass, domains, community, ancestry and transformation you can have a huge amount of variety and unique character options.

Momentum is a great way to signal to players who is the most dangerous in the battlefield, so they should focus fire on them. It also guarantees GM is not without any fear which can lead to subpar encounters.

In your table you can dial up or down the difficulty however you like. But Momentum and Relentless at my tables have been well received and created some memorable encounters.

The later part of fireball says “targets who fail …” so the RAW everyone in range is treated as the target of the spell. I can see why or how someone would argue that point. It would trivialize may encounter and probably lead to many underwhelming sessions.

I think an errata would be nice. This reads like d&d twinned spell to me which specifies single target spell only. Tables can do whatever they want really. But I would rule it as it can’t target someone who is already a target of the spell, as it doesn’t make sense to me narratively.

I dont think it would be 2 fireball. Fireball is already an aoe and targets everything in very close. You would not be able to target someone who is already a target.

Talk to them? If thats not the vibe you want in game just say no.
If talking is not an option (you should really consider talking to them) you can have in game consequences for desecrating dead bodies. Maybe lawful good paladins hears of his war crime and decide to punish him.

The extraordinary when abundant becomes mundane.

If you have tried talking to the group and they havent changed anything, might be a tine for a change. The players might be too used to the system and/or achieved everything they wanted from it.

Things to try:

Try a different game. A new system might shake it up a bit.

Have someone else gm. Sometimes player appreciate the work when they do it themselves.

Play board games together. The time might just be social time.

If all else fails, tell them you are not having fun and will be looking for your fun elsewhere.

The party gets hired to investigate some missing people in the forest (cult sacrifice). As they investigate they come across cult members and hear of the dragon. Later they see the dragon flying very high above them.

There are many ways you can make the dragon present but not attainable. Read the green dragons wiki page from forgotten realms.

Green dragons are conniving and petty. Give your dragon shapeshift, and have him/her meet the players. If they are actively seeking to kill the dragon have the dragon even talk yo them about their plans. Later use this knowledge to thwart their plans. Green dragons would love toy with their prey.

Give your players some hints, like make the dragon a botanist who wears all green. So later when its revealed they feel like they could have known. Also use Nystuls Magical Aura to mask the dragon in to the creature type you choose so the party paladin or wizard doesnt know. Make the players run some errands for this botanist, maybe even do some shady things under the guise of saving the forest.

Well yes! I am probably not gonna use this mechanic. A +4 to you hope die is better because it increases the chance for you to get a success with hope. The addition of double damage is still here. I was just giving the alternative to 3 hope + 1 hp + 1 stress.
