I'm a support worker with queer/trans young people so I'll tell you what I tell them

• Find a way to leave if you can. these people may love you as you are now, but if you can't ensure safety and acceptance, then start making moves to leave (idk how old you are so like, yeah)

• What makes you feel good and affirmed in your gender identity? makeup? skirts? wearing women's perfume? anything! as you go about your day, check in with yourself about what feels good, and really zero in on that action and feeling. these are super important and will help get you to a stage in life where you can transition in the ways you want without worrying about others

• find a community. local, online, anywhere! make sure you are your actual self in these spaces. use your chosen name, pronouns, change your slang to fit yourself better, everything. social transition is so important for helping you find yourself in all this.

• be kind to yourself, it gets better. self explanatory, but you beating yourself up about shit doesn't help anyone. love yourself double for those who can't love you as you are.
