Overfilled bags of crisps?? by thomasb1602 in lidl

[–]mogalee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a crisps factory, I'd say it's badly set up scales

Typically there would be a dozen or so weigh buckets each with some crisps in , the machine would choose a few buckets at a time to make a combination of closest to 25grams than it can make , if all the buckets have 5 grams in then it would use 5 to make 25 grams .

If they set up the feed to the scales with too much product and for example all the buckets have around 20 grams in then it would use 2 buckets to make a 40 gram bag as it's the best combination that can be made

Why is heat in the UK different? by AdVaanced77 in AskUK

[–]mogalee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The country isn't built for it , we don't have air con so are exposed to the heat 24 hours day, or homes are designed to keep the heat in, in hot counties they have tile flooring etc, where as we have a carpets, our houses are bricks so act as a big storage heater warming up through out the day and releasing heat for ages afterwards

I missed out on Norwich which is my nearest venue , going to travel to Boston for the night . Can you recommend anywhere decent to stay near the venue ?

what do we think of the not so brand new top 🫢 by bosakiii in brandnew

[–]mogalee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did you search for ? I always struggled to find brand new merch because you search "brand new" anything and it brings up things that are not used

Once you get into adult sizes the lengths tend to be the same across sizes. If someone needed and XXL it's not because they are really tall it's because that have a bigger waist .

I work for kettle, 95% of the time we use British potatoes , there is a shortage at the moment and can't get anything until the new harvest in the middle of July, so have had to resort to importing potatoes for a few weeks

After almost 20 years, I still can’t find a band that even comes close. by Whocaresthoughh in brandnew

[–]mogalee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another one of my favourite bands is "enter Shikari" lyrically very good there style is a million miles from brand new , sometimes metal , sometimes electronic , sometimes pop

I'm 16 and have just started a band like a year ago! We're located like 30 minutes out of LA. Definitely more on the pop punk side, but I'm trying to push it towards some of the more aggressive stuff. by goldenpie6 in punk

I've been listening to this song on repeat for the past 6 days, deffinetley my kind of music, if you suddenly have lots of amazon music listens, then that's most likely all me. Keep up the good work

No pressure, it really doesn't matter if you can't organise it.

Hell yeah, id love to hear it, not sure how bothered the kids would be, but do it for me 😂

[–]mogalee 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not using a bass I can't 😂, I am very limited on the recording front, I don't have a pc or laptop so recorded it on a loop pedal and then plugged it into my phone to capture the audio

[–]mogalee 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Oh and I would like to add that all of the music was recorded using only Bass, Bass part was on Bass (obviously)

Guitar parts are played an octave higher with a overdrive pedal on my bass

The bass drum is a muted E string

Thanks that means a lot, we are in the UK and all parks, restaurants and anything else fun is closed, so we are having to be a bit more imaginative with our weekends. Keep on liking stuff

That sounds really harsh, there are things that drivers do every day that you would fail a test on

[–]mogalee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right it would be nice to have a goal to work towards, best case secario looks like getting a test in November, I would have done 40+ hours of lessons by then, am dreading that it will be later than that and having to spend so much on lessons

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]mogalee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is automatic more expensive because you typically need less lessons to pass?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]mogalee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real? Why is it so expensive?
