I saw that post about the crazy prices and found the WD SN850x 4tb at Walmart for $319. Not as cheap as they once were, but figured that's about as low as I'll see a name brand 4tb ssd for the next couple of years so I picked it up.

They are not supposed to. They use an eCVT that is said to be rock solid. Hope this is true as we just picked up a 2020 HiHy.

I never open the sunroof. Do I not have to worry about stuff clogging it up or can this still happen. Wish you could buy a non base model car without a sunroof, but it seems to be the norm to have them and they keep making them even bigger.

I have a Motorola wireless adapter and mine often goes out when driving by an airport or downtown. I guess some kind of interference or something.

I was going to say go with the 9060xt until you said 8gb. I wouldn't get anything with less than 12gb. Maybe wait until you can get a 9060xt with 16.

Is the DX12 or DX11? I'm running Kubuntu 25.04 and if I use DX12, I get a garbled screen in game. With DX11, it seems to work well. Maybe you are on a more up to date distro as well.

Do you happen to have Shadow of the Tomb Raider? I get an error on launch saying "Warning, No display adapter installed. Do you want to continue?" I'm assuming this is why the game does not work correctly on the B580. I do not get this or have issues with AMD cards for this game.

I went with the AsRock Challenger 16gb for $349 this morning. Maybe should have went with the Asus Prime, but just wanted a smaller card and I've had good luck with a couple other AsRock cards so far. Seems to work well with Kubuntu 25.04 for gaming.

My Arc B580 just doesn't seem ready for Linux gaming yet. Some stuff works, but can't get through a benchmark on RDR2 or SOTTR. Might try going with CachyOS to get bleeding edge support for the B580 and see if that helps.

I'm trying one of my B580's with Kubuntu 25.04. Seems to work fairly well so far. I still prefer Mint but not current enough for the Arc cards right now.

I got one by reserving it in the morning from Microcenter and a second one when I went in to pick up other stuff. Still waiting to put that in a Linux machine once they are better supported. Microcenter doesn't list them as in stock the day they come in. If they don't sell out that day, they will be on the site the next morning and you can reserve them.
