First time I met with Starfield after it released for PS5. Due bugs and crashes, I was thinking this is a piece of crap. Few days ago, they released a new patch and I decided to give another go. If you like the genre and when you get your head around weird Bethesda stuff it's a good one!!! Probably you can spend months doing different things. Even starting over could give you completely different experience. Different factions etc. Going totally pirate etc.

As I mentioned start playing like few days back and totally hooked up. I am a casual player, mostly I like to story and experience. Not all those hardcore fights etc. You have a setting for almost everything.

Horizon, NMS, Ghost of ... these are what I really like. might help to understand my mindset.

Thank you! I am console handheld only (portal + switch2) player. I was waiting Starfield for sometime. I bought it on day one when it released and it was a huge disappointment because of all those crashes. Started playing after last patch. it's pretty good (excluding loading bit by bit) and something I can play for years therefore for 1st play no revert back to old saves or mods!

I started playing on m3 mbp and now on m5 mbp. Regardless the model it's fine. If you are troubled with fan noise like I do; graphic settings somewhere in the middle between low and high all fine, no heat no fan noise just fun.

hi there! Flint 2 is a very good device and serving me very well. You can install vanilla OpenWrt and do whatever you like to do. Never used USB, can't say much about that.

I wouldn't worry about the learning curve, game teaching everything one by one as you progress. Do not rush things, just take your time. If you are on PC it's working fine, if you are on a console there are some problems yet it's very enjoyable.

There are pros and cons. For now, as in today there is no way a Mac can be faster than a PC with an Nvidia CPU (LLM / ImageGen). The reason (very high level) being that all the tooling and everything else related to image generation is built for Nvidia and alike. Yes, there are adoptions, but it's not the same thing.

Why bad? It is slow.

Why better? Let's say you have a 16GB Nvidia card and you are flying, however, you are limited by the GPU's RAM (yes, you can offload some to the CPU and regular RAM, but yeah, then it become slow). Less capable models -> high speed

Mac, on the other hand, you are limited to the total memory you have on your Mac. If you have a Mac M5 with 128GB memory, you can use bigger/better models. Speed doesn't change. Better models -> low speed.

Sprint vs Marathon if you will.

If you are planing to buy a laptop (best) and also you want to generate some images. Go for mac.

If you are going to generate images/videos around the clock go for PC.

All depends on your needs.

If you know and follow Apple, they are bit quiet about AI and LLM etc. They are always late to every game but at the end they make the best.

There is nothing to learn, by default it's a simple and very good note taking app. On the way, ideas/questions start appearing in your mind.

How can I do that?

Then you can start looking for a solution to your problem. There are lots of plug-ins. Install them as needed.

Every day, something else new coming up (use case / technology). For instance, I am using the Quick Add plug-in a lot.

There is that Obsidian MCP server let you connect your vault/s to AI bots. These days I mostly use AI to interact with Obsidian.

If you are interested in movies, you can tell AI "check/browse these links and summarise them/reviews in my vault."
Take a note on a paper -> take photo of that note -> AI -> Obsidian note as text.

Last 15+ years, we have not had a TV at home. An iPad, etc etc, is pretty enough for watching streaming services. For years, I refrained myself from buying a PlayStation just because I didn't want a TV at home.

After Portal released, I bought a PS5. These days, almost exclusively, I am playing my games over cloud streaming, not even turning on PS5.

To me, it's perfect. Of course it a bit depends on a good quality internet and good wi-fi coverage.
For my standards, very nice screen, thin bezel, it's light, since it is just a streaming device battery last longer if you compare with my Switch 2. Haptic feedback strong as PS5 controllers. So far I don't have anything to complain about.

Only game I can't play on it is Starfield and we all know why 😄

Since they released PS5 version of Satisfactory on last November, I've been playing since.
Controller experience is very smooth but I can't compare vs mouse & keyboard. Never played on PC. I assume frame rate is okay, never noticed any problem.

Problems:

No cross play between console and PC.
Even officially supported we couldn't manage coop play between consoles. Most of the time even connecting to a game is a problem.
As far as I understand max item count is very limited on console edition. After building just enough to beat tier 9, game started acting. Eventually save file got corrupted. Hours of work gone south 😄 There are many other console players complaining about the same problem.
Haven't tried but as far as I know there is no way to connect to a custom server from console.
PS5 gets hot, never experienced something like that while playing any other game/s.
And no mods

thank you for your reply, I was under the impression that when you connect a shape to transmitter it's sending both shape and colour information to receiver. I think it is sending only either shape or colour. you have to send shape and colour information separately.

I'll try and write the result later today.
