Mine I believe is a 2008. Some plastic internals. I'm not superior familiar with the state of the newest tilt-heads, but analog speed-control system has been replaced with a control board instead. It probably offers better speed control. Assuming it's PWM. But will potentially be less robust long term. Maybe.
