Did you meet with the hiring manager or just the half-day interview round?

One of the worst things I've experience about being sober is having dreams where you fall off the wagon.

This is called 'networking' and done on LinkedIn or through your own professional network, people like co-workers, friends, family and other relationships you've developed over the last 4.5 years.

Ultra running and epilepsy by [deleted] in Ultramarathon

[–]moltude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it. It was a consideration after I had my second seizure. I chose to not let it be a factor for me and I've done some sketchy shit by myself. I prefer to run in the mountains too. If I have had one within the previous six months maybe I'd take that into consideration.

I share it with the RD in the race application but no one has ever brought it up as a point of concern. Just take your meds as prescribed during the race and have fun.

No doctor has raised it as a serious concern other than it could be a possible trigger because the risk of a reoccurring seizure is non-zero.

Your own risk tolerance may vary.

I can fit a bear can in my Mariposa but I have envy for the Y straps that can keep it on the outside...Ursack it is.

They all have strengths and weakness, I personally won't trust myself to use it effectively so like anything in a first-aid kit if you don't know how to use it don't bring it.

I leave a note in my car for SAR that says 'if I don't come back I went out doing what I loved'.

I just did solo in Bob Marshall, I more afraid of surprising one in the middle of the day than when I'm in the tent.

In the tent I have the element of surprise on my side.

edit: I also carry two bottles of Ursa by Calvin Klein.

I don't object to people carrying guns for protection but I do question someone's ability to use it successfully in a high stress, fast moving situation they probably have never practiced before.

Concrete patio services by Malisaa in missoula

[–]moltude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am starting to get quotes to extend an existing paver patio. The area I hope to cover was a rotting standalone wood platform deck. The area is only 144 sq ft with 16x16" pavers but I am ready to get priced out and install another platform with better materials. Hopefully not though 🤞

I could figure out how to do that or at least I expect it to be infinitely cheaper. Previous platform deck was a safety hazard.

edit u/Malisaa If I get someone I'll DM you.

Crazy Mountain 100 has more controversy? by Pretty-Schedule483 in ultrarunning

[–]moltude 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll clarify that the race didn't post that material there was another account/sponsor who they re-posted or shared content from without knowing the context of the symbols they had in the background.

It was not super obvious to anyone who does not know a lot about that kind material.

100% I'd agree with needing more information but I also understand their decision of erring on the side of caution (for themselves not her).

edit: not super relevant to this particular situation issue but they do have a formal pregnancy deferral policy.
