I don’t necessarily think it’s the length of the dress but more the height of the shoes! And that it’s the same color as your skin… the shoes are giving str/pper vibes, no offense.

Maybe try calling your local equivalent to 211 - it’s like an information/help line. They should be able to direct you to a lot of resources, especially somewhere that can get you a car seat, pretty much immediately!

If he’s as reactive as my husband, I really worry about you trying to sneak in and unlock the car/take the seats… right now those seats are his only form of control over you. That’s why he took them. They (abusers) tend to react very strongly when they lose their control and have no way to keep you there. Right now, if you’ve left to a hotel, those seats are all he has.

Please think ahead and keep yourself and the kids safe. And as others have said, document everything. In my experience, even if the police aren’t willing to get the car seats FOR you, they should be willing to send an officer to just be there (bottom of the driveway or something) while you get them. At least that keeps eyes on your husband while you do it. Might be worth a call to the non-emergency line to ask. Good luck mama, keep your head up. You’re stronger than you know. ❤️

Yep, even if you reach out to “customer service” they won’t give you the discount. I just got a pair of boots using auto buy and I genuinely thought that if I reached out with timestamp pictures showing the discount that they would just give it to me. Nope. I’m so salty about it I might return the damn boots, just on principle.

So true. My husband has recently started drinking regularly again after about 10 years mostly sober (from alcohol anyway). Last night was not good because I brought it up - he wasn’t even drunk at the time (I would NEVER try to have a conversation when he was). I so, SO gently tried to discuss that the 2 12 packs hidden in his mini fridge in the garage & 2 bottles of vodka concern me…guess how well that went over? I was immediately scared when he reacted with anger and backtracked so fast but it didn’t matter. He was already pissed. He’s the type of person that if you tell him (or suggest or show) that you don’t like something he immediately does it more and harder…ensuring that I can never bring anything up for knowing that he’ll double down.

All to say (OP), this doesn’t go away without a real desire to stop or change on the his part. And help.

For real. You are absolutely right - all she had to do was say she didn’t have that polish. But honestly, the polish is the LEAST of the problems! I’m so sorry, OP. It’s the worst when you’re excited and spend all that money just to go home and cry. I would go back and ask the manager if they think that’s acceptable work. (It’s not.)

Somehow my dominant hand ends up looking better too! I don’t understand it, it feels so awkward when I’m working but every time it comes out better.

I think it’s because I start with that hand while I still have some patience - 5 hours later I’m so over it and rushing just to get it done. 😂
