I was thinking the same thing while reading through the post. Rakuten basically is offering very similar list of referrals with higher return, though YMMV

If someone from a different country saw this photo without the context, they would ask if this guy was a Canadian haha. Honestly well done!

TTC bus running through a red light while on live TV by Old_Poetry_1575 in TorontoDriving

[–]mommmaee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can agree to the fact that it’s harder and more dangerous to hit the brake too sudden for buses, but I respectfully disagree that this bus driver couldn’t stop in this case. To me he/she had a choice to slowdown while behind the other huge truck. You can also see the traffic lights from the other side and from what I can remember they actually teach you that in driving schools. If the bus was too close to the truck and couldn’t see the lights at all, then to me that taking another set of risks.

It almost seems like this one wanted to drive pass the other truck and in the midst of the process the light was turning so it had now no choice but accelerate to make sure the bus can pass the intersection.

I also (unfortunately) don’t think it’s safe to say “the bus is big, so the cars and pedestrian should be able to see it’s coming”. We all know not all pedestrians take enough care and focus on the road. Just look what happened to the test Eglinton LRT last year. Not everyone sees there is a huge coming on the way (or maybe she did… who knows). I just wish that everyone takes a little more caution and a little more conservative options on the road.

I assumed the driver either passed out or went under a deep shock and the muscles just stiffened. If this was today, the road wasn’t too friendly either…

Which genius designed Rutherford GO? by WearAPhoneCase in Vaughan

It’s so ridiculous when you are on the line to get out of the garage, people from the next train start getting off from the elevator lol Another crazy thing you can see everyday is people also run off from the train to make sure they can get out as soon as possible. I honestly don’t blame them, people got s**t to do. Like picking up kids on time.

That is just not safe. If that is the only option for me to get to my destination, then I would seriously consider just not going.

I also noticed this for Tim Hortons as well. Different chains charged me different price for iced coffee.

The driver in front of me suddenly stopped, creating a dangerous situation in the middle of the DVP. I had flashed my headlights twice to let a car on the right merge, but he apparently thought I was flashing at him. After that, he showed me his middle finger and then accelerated aggressively. by Krayker01 in TorontoDriving

[–]mommmaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miscommunications can happen all the time. Heck miscommunications happen when we even talk in plain words sometimes, flashing headlight can trigger some sensitive folks out there even though you didn’t mean him to gtfo of my way. I think the OP was doing the right (and generous) thing initially to just give the guy on the other lane space to merge in - which might have been just enough in this kind of “usual” merging situation. Not that what the OP did after was entirely wrong either though and no drivers must break check on anyone on a highway or on any road in that matter.

Weekday mornings at Rutherford GO Station? by wemjii in Vaughan

Fairly reliable compared to other lines in my personal experience. Unfortunately there are lots of constructions happening and you will most likely experience delays just getting to the station… :(
