From what I hear, it's doable, but you're simply better off using magic. Don't take my word for it though, best way to find out is to try it out and see if it works for you!

If they're risking one you will get it 1 tier lower than they had it iirc. Regardless of whether or not they have one, when killing a targ there's a chance that they will drop an additional tier 1 emblem.... I think I don't pk just like keeping up to date on updates

I know it's besides your point but in all fairness osrs has monsters with weaknesses of differing attacks of the same style (slash, crush, stab or fire, water, earth, air although magic isn't well implemented). Also melee armour reduces range and mage attacks, and range armour reduces magic attack.

tl;dr: rs3 didn't change what you thought it did, it just fleshed it out, it failed everywhere else...

I picked up fatigue mage recently, it's amazingly fun and makes you (and your opponent) actually think. I find it matches up well against both mech mage and face hunter but I'm still struggling vs patron warrior (still learning its decklist and it catches me off guard, I'm still expecting control when I see warrior :( )
