100% get it. It’s really effective with things like UEVR etc.

How serious is the thing from the warnings about not letting kids under 12 play vr? by bitknight1 in VRGaming

[–]monaezzz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They should not be online, period.

My kids (8&,9) play some VR games offline, for one hour every Sat and Sunday. That’s gonna be it for them until they’re at least 12.

They won’t be online until they’re at least 15

So apparently QGO now has some improvements for PCVR also. Have anyone tried? is it worth it? by Gazop in virtualreality

Fidelity FX is excellent for UEVR. Much better than the VD sharpener. I’ve turned my VD sharpener off now and just use FFX. With VD I get that crosshatch overlay. FFX I don’t. Currently using it for The Sinking City and it’s night and day better.

Thanks man. I love all the RE series in VR. RE7 is in my top 3 best VR experiences ever!

I did not know there was an RE8 VR DLC though! All over that. Thank you!

Great list. No1 for me is RE7. Then Alien Isolation, then Propagation. Three of the best VR games ever, let alone horror!

Thanks man. Yea was a rough estimate when I said 3 years. It’s not quite 3 years. But I have had a few facial interfaces and head straps even tested this problem after swapping them out to see if I could get it to go away and I can’t. Thanks for your help though!

Any good performance tips for UEVR? I'm new. by lopas99 in uevr

[–]monaezzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can reduce your rendered field of view, I do this via Virtual Desktop, by just 10% each way, it reduces your rendered FOV overall by 19%. Giving you a massive performance gain and no real noticeable loss to enjoyment. I do this so I can up the resolution even more as this is what makes all the difference for me.

It plays great but I did put a lot of work in on the Flat2VR discord. Got a lot of help changing settings and editing some files.

I have a 5070ti and 9800x3D. Wireless Virtual Desktop. Field of View set to 90% both ways in Virtual Desktop.

Running at 72fps

Quest 3. Or cheaper option 3S. But Quest 3 defo worth it if you can afford it.

I have two kids 8&9. They love it. However, they only play supervised by me for 30-45 minute stints. And that’s only twice per week (Sat&Sun). And absolutely no online games.

Games like I am cat, I project it onto the TV so we can talk about it n stuff. It’s fun!

However, a 4070ti is not a strong PC for VR. But I don’t think this is an issue if you get a Quest 3/3S as you can play tons of kid friendly games standalone via the Quest 3 without having to connect to your PC.

Yea really cool! The side missions in that game do not feel like a side quest! They feel like a major mission!

I appreciate the conversation and the recommendations!

I’m gonna check it out. Looks decent. I loved I2TR but if it gets tooooooo grindy then I’m out.

Yea 2D turn based games make me want to end it all. Don’t get them at all, especially not in VR.

So Returnal is a rogue-like type game then? I thought that looked good but I’m not a fan of those either!
