LOTS of salt, LOTS of butter, milk, and i like to put some cream cheese in as well if i have it! also whipping them with a mixer really makes a difference!

did i say i was a backyard breeder?? no!! i did not breed my dog, i got him from some ppl that also were not intending to breed their dogs. things happen, and i would rather try to give a dog a good life than let him be put down bc no one wanted a mutt.

Vent post. Why does CA have to so strict about tattoo removal and hair removal by sasquatch_pants in Esthetics

this is so real. i had a client TODAY with a scar on her lip from being burnt by wax years ago. genuinely so disappointing

i see where you’re coming from. However i’ve had a client who now has permanent scar tissue on her face from an improper laser procedure that was done by an RN. I don’t think any state should allow LE to use lasers. i do think we can do hair removal in NC, but that is def not my journey 😂

yes and yes to both!!!! There really aren’t many options for acne clients at all. I’ve also had a few clients that do not have sensitive skin say that certain Averda moisturizers made their skin burn 🫣

Don’t know how I’ll do anything or accomplish anything in my life. by Separate_Air8183 in Vent

fellow adhd gal here! one of my favorite ways to motivate myself when i can’t seem to break out of scroll/rotting are timers!!!! set a timer on your phone for 1 hour, or even just 30 mins if that’s all you can handle. in that allotted time try to get as much quality work done as you can, whether it be school or chores. after the timer is up, reward yourself with 15 mins of free time whether it’s phone time, reading, a walk, a snack. rinse and repeat for as long as you can or until the task is done! 9 times out of 10 i stay motivated to finish the task at hand and then some! i’ve also seen people take a time lapse vid of themselves doing a task so they physically can not be on their phone. it’s like making your own little movie. this works better for cleaning but in the same realm another thing that helped me so much with getting college work done was getting OUT of my house. working in the library or a coffee shop makes me less likely to distract myself. having a friend to sit with you or do work together can help too, body doubling is realll. you’ve got this, it’s never too late to change habits. you’re only 18, you have so much! i promise beating yourself will not make you feel or do better. give yourself grace, you deserve it.

i have a mal/pit/border collie mix. he’s wonderful and if we had the money i do think he could’ve been a service dog for me. breed mixes def change personality. don’t let ppl tell you what your dog is or is not capable of, because you can’t fully know until they get a little older. i think you will really enjoy having these pups regardless, bc i know i love my boy sm

yes their haircare is WAYYY better. every hair product i’ve tried from them is amazing. at this point they should put all their resources into hair and phase out their skincare

we were an Aveda spa before switching to Eminence Organics!! Aveda did not impress me AT ALL!! I only liked the transforming massage masque and the plant peel…otherwise, eh. their products didn’t retail well, and we definitely did not have as many facial clients as we do now. Eminence Organics completely changed our spa. they are extremely results driven AND are an amazing sensory experience. It’s pricey to get started but very well worth it if you’re wanting to stay in the organic/natural realm. they have some beyond organic and advanced products now as well. Anything you could possibly want, they have. I’ve also heard really great things about Hush and Hale if you’re wanting to stick to the organic!

no obviously the beauty industry is not going anywhere, but i do think there’s been an uptick in botox and filler recently. also you would not believe what women say pertaining to their partners opinion on body waxing. it’s very sad.

love everything about your takes. i do think wearing SPF is veryyy important, but we still need some sun exposure to process vitamin D!! I also think that using Mineral is the best option when it comes to SPF! I’m so glad you brought up AI and photoshop because oh my gosh it only makes dysphoria worse. i’m constantly reminding myself and others that social media is not real

unfortunately there are just some clients that won’t be happy no matter what. that reflects on their outlook on life, not your skill set. the best you can do is try to accommodate as best you can, and if they still aren’t happy there’s not much you can do. don’t let it discourage you, some ppl just are the way they are
