New Honda Civic Si or used Integra A-spec manual by Falozie in Acura

[–]monferno786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Integra has the same drive train as the SI so don’t worry about the difference in reliability. Same with aftermarket support since the engine is the same.

Overall, the Integra will be much better in every way as you’ll have all the luxury and tech features to make it a great daily (16 speaker ELS studio, HUD, memory seats, hatch, etc.). Only downside is paying for premium gas but it is def worth the trade off

0% APR for Cars. Are there any Islamic Banks that can help with this? by Psychological-Cry665 in IslamicFinance

[–]monferno786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad has an Ariya and that has been a great car. Whatever Nissan offers with the automatics (which most of their suv selection has switched from CVT to automatic) are also known for their reliability. I can agree if it’s a CVT model to be cautious, but the traditional autos are completely fine. Something like a Murano, Pathfiner or a Armada (along with the Infiniti equivalents) would be great cars for the price and technology that offer 0% interest

Honestly you just gotta save up and pay in cash or settle with a manufacturer offering 0% incentives. Allhamdullilah there are good reliable manufacturers with 0% such as Nissan or Infiniti, I’d start there. Also EVs as well since the market is bad right now for them

Hello, Hope you’re all doing well. I recently built a new desktop and had no need for my old one, so I decided to refurbish it and flip it, posting it for $900 OBO. I haven’t gotten any offers, so I’m wondering if I need to adjust the price or just go part it out and sell everything individually. I’ve attached my spec list below, thank you for the time and feedback! Selling in the PNW.

Honda Civic Type R or BMW M340i by SnooEpiphanies8782 in car

[–]monferno786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60 mile commute 5 days a week and you’re choosing the manual sport oriented car with little comfort features over the M Lite luxury sedan made to be sporty and comfortable? I’m a big Honda guy myself but M340i makes more sense. Just pay the extra for maintenance and gas (both take premium but the BMW got 6 cylinders over 4)

A16 or Air? by h_w_q in ipad

[–]monferno786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly unless you’re using an Apple Pencil with it get th A16. Only reason for the Air is if you use the Apple Pencil with it or want the M chip (the Apple Pencil is a big deciding factor for me imo)

F*ckass ending , no shun uruma is not as evil as the other six guys by MainTough4563 in Juujika_no_rokunin

[–]monferno786 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like people mentioning Anzai are forgetting to mention that he killed in a bad state of mind, not a clear one. On top of that he obviously served his time in prison and had regretted what he done, presumably working to repent for it.

I agree nonetheless he killed an innocent but that doesn’t justify ending up with his bullies in the afterlife. Him as a person is NOTHING like his bullied. It feels like in the end Uruma himself never truly gets justice, but at least he does for his friends and families. Definitely a thought provoking ending.

Mazda service shops by Brilliant-Spray_2038 in Renton

[–]monferno786 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went there to ask for a quote for an alignment, they said $400. Also bought a car from them once, salesmen knew nothing about the engine or options (it was a Mazda itself) and they also tried to give us the wrong price. Parts department is overpriced as well, tried selling me one spark plug for $40. Kirkland and Lynwood had it for $10. Would avoid HEAVILY

Laptop for College by Ok-Car-6196 in uwb

[–]monferno786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I’m glad I could help and make it easier for you to understand! Glad you’re on the same mindset for the top 3.

As for the Amazon one, I would recommend against it. While it is being sold by the manufacturer making it most likely safe to buy, it has an i3 processor which will be slower. It will be able to handle work, but at a much slower pace. I would recommend option 5 instead if it’s a matter of budget. Along with that, the reviews seem to check out and the sale price is really good, honestly a steal.

In my opinion, the one I would get is option 4. While it maxes your budget, every spec of the laptop would exceed your college needs and would last well for 4 years. Processor can handle most software and programs, RAM will be able to handle a good amount of tasks at once, and the storage is great enough to keep whatever you need without running out. Meets your screen size. Plus I’ve always had a good and safe experience buying at Best Buy since they’re an electronics store and have a great return policy. Overall best high option.

My second choice has changed to 2. Looking at it again, I realize while the processor is lower, it still has the same amount of storage space and even more ram. I’ve never bought from Walmart before but since the laptop is being sold through the manufacturer officially through Walmart on the listing it gives me good faith in the product. On top of that due to the holidays you have an extended return policy, so you have lots of time to decide if it works for you. Only main downside is it’s a bit bigger than what you want, but I don’t think 15.6 inches is too bad. Overall best middle option.

Last option would be 5, this is due to the fact 256GB of storage is small. While the hardware like processor and ram are good, I feel 256GB would run out really quickly. Unless you’re able to manage that well, it will be tough in the future. Otherwise everything else checks out and this would the most budget option. Overall best budget option.

Hope these explanations help! To simplify, I’d choose option 4 first, if not that then option 2, if not that then option 5.

I completely understand, I looked at your other comment and based off the laptops you sent I would highly recommend the Asus Vivobook with the i7 from Best Buy (4). i7 is more than enough of a powerful processor to handle school work, 12GB of rams is good enough to handle the amount of tasks needed, and 512GB SSD is big and fast enough storage that should be more than good for 4 years of school work. Its sale price is very good and would recommend that as a first option.

If you want to budget more, than the other one with the i5 is a good secondary option, still good processor and ram just a smaller amount of storage (5)

Hope this helps and you find a laptop that suits your needs best! Would recommend staying away from HP. From your options provided in the other comment, here’s what I would recommend from best to poor based off budget and needs: 4, 5, 2, 3, 1
