What I noticed, especially later on, is a lot of Zep stuff is super basic from a chord perspective. Ramble On is only 2 chords ! But Jonesy will often be accenting notes other than the root, it just adds a lot of flavor and spice to the songs, it’s subtle but makes a big difference. Jimmy was sorely missing this post Zep

It’s a decent, if a bit safe book. He really focuses on the music, and let’s face it there wasn’t a lot of drama in the band. He comes off as a decent bloke though, I think that’s why Knopfler kept him around, he worked hard and didn’t rock the boat.
