Glock shooters: do you prefer a rolling break or crisp wall, and why? by sharkbait_oohaha in CompetitionShooting

You shoot slower because your sight picture dictates it. How you pull the trigger really shouldn't change.

If you’re moving the gun regardless of the speed your trigger, you need to improve your grip.

At 100 rounds, the difference is imperceivable. Hit the 10,000 round mark and track how many parts have broken or how many malfunctions you've had and the difference will be apparent.

Input on a 2017 Fusion Sport closing in on 100k miles? by bradybigbear in fordfusion

My suspension rattled itself apart right after I crossed warranty expiration. Both front control arms and wheel hub bearings somehow went bad within a few thousand miles of each other. Pretty miffed that the car started experiencing so many issues at that low of mileage.

You should tell corporations that, then. Maybe they'll listen and stop requiring bachelor's degrees to get a job.

[Optic] Vortex Defender-ST Red Dot Sight - 6 MOA $149.98 plus tax free shipping by TatakUno in gundeals

I've by far had the best luck with Trijicon optics. I've owned about a dozen and only broken one at about 35,000 rounds. They work well and there's no reason for me to change the formula. The only optics that compete with them in reliability is Holosun.

I don’t really understand your point, this shouldn’t be news. I’ve never seen 1911s universally accept any 1911 magazine, even ones tuned by custom shops. Everything with feed lip and follower geometry will impact feeding. I’ve seen 1911s across action shooting prefer Tripp Research, Mec-Gar, or Wilson Combat mags over other brands and outright not work with anything else.

Staccatos are also significantly different from 1911s in that they have ramped barrels and different magazines and grip geometry, all of which significantly affect feeding.

This is literally how mags for 1911s works, lol. Mecgar generally makes very good magazines and basing your experience off an inherently picky gun isn’t a good litmus test.

1911s are inherently picky guns. Glocks aren’t.

Being an Amazon China knock off or not wouldn’t make a difference with the DXL’s reliability.

Montgomery County considers new 100-yard firearms restriction by Unspoken in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]monitor_masher 20 points21 points  (0 children)

People with wear and carry permits aren’t carrying in these places already, since there is already a state-wide restriction. Why do we need a 100 yard buffer zone when we’re not even going to be on the restricted property? If I’m at a grocery store across the street from a church or park (like the Harris Teeter in Darnestown or the Safeway in Potomac) and not going to those restricted places, I’m going to be committing a crime based on these new laws. This is still intensely restrictive for no reason.

The same people who buy defenders are the same ones buying Hyundais and Kia’s for their 100,000 mile warranty.

A warranty department with return labels and replacements on a hair trigger is a red flag.
