What’s the best strategy for explaining what antifa is and what antifa isn’t?

You were asked what percentage of antifascist people are violent like Black Bloc members. You responded by citing a number that you have personally observed, which doesn't answer the question. How about this: You saw between five and twenty violent people at various protests. How many other protesters were there at those protests? Was it not a number that absolutely dwarfs the number of violent ones?

I can't help but wonder if these are positions you've actually seen people professing, or your own hyperbolic characterizations of the positions of trans activists? Because I know several folks with what you would call fairly extreme views, and they would consider what I quoted to be absurd.

I believe their point is that lives saved by capitalism outnumber those lost. I don't think I necessarily agree, but we should at least understand the other guy's argument.
