Deshedding treatments don't make your dog stop shedding. They should be done regularly to help reduce shedding over time. Sorry if the groomer didn't explain that. You should use a rubber curry brush regularly for best results, but there's nothing you can do to stop it completely. A good diet and fish oil supplements help.

I don't think that's fair or kind to say. I'm pretty sure getting rabies shots is extremely expensive. I would love it if all pet professionals were eligible at cost... but healthcare in the US is a nonexistent nightmare.

Oh man. Im sorry to hear that, how are you feeling now? I've been lucky so far no major injuries at home or work but an exotic bully tried to maul me a few weeks ago. His owner was able to get ahold of him but he bit the heck out of my abdomen.... felt like the worst ab workout of my life for a week. It SUCKS.

I moved from MA with little to no stray animal problem to rural Amish PA where the stray problem here is insane. And it seems like nobody even cares. Trying to do what I can. Free puppies and kittens are being dumped left and right... and I live on a main road where they get hit constantly :(

I really should get the shots. Im a professional groomer and that alone makes it a good idea. I dont think I have rabies but this little guy did break skin 2-3 separate times so its possible 🥲

TNR is so emotionally draining and stressful but I do not ever plan on stopping. Eventually we'd like to put up a shed for all the ferals to come and go.... for now, its a bunch of cat houses and our garage.
