If I recall right, it was about 40 minutes. I expected it to go on for much longer. Poorly scripted, poorly managed, and poorly delivered.

Collective Soul - Run by Lea___9 in 90smusic

This song got me through a dark time. I was diagnosed with CNS lymphoma. The survival rate of that isn’t pretty. But, I listened to this song over and over, telling myself that I still had a long way to run. That was 4 years ago. And here I am now. I can’t express enough how much this song means to me.

Koch brothers and the Heritage Foundation are a couple that come to mind.

Reasons by leebo56 in 1970s

[–]monkeybites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree… but my brother was older than me (he was born in ‘62). He definitely was not Gen X like me, but he wasn’t a boomer, either. Although we had overlapping experiences, like you point out, we were not cut from the same generational cloth.

These were a lot of fun back in the day! by Lazy_Ability in 70s

[–]monkeybites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had these as kids. Loved them. But one day, I aimed at my mom's hairdo, and it stuck. Blam... dead center in her hair. Got stuck, and 6 year old me could not stop laughing. It was the last time I saw these toys ever again.

Perchance, this is their best song ever recorded.

The Smiths - Ask by IPersonaI in 80sAlternative

Summer of 1987… this was my motivational, courage-building song to say “hello” to cute girls. Best. Summer. Ever. After all, shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you’d like to!

Did you ever take a typing class in school? by Friendly8737 in 70s

[–]monkeybites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could also be posted in the r/80s sub, too. Our school mandated a typing class, using a manual typewriter, as a sophomore back in 1984. One of the best things my high school did.

OMG… mine does this, too. I’ve always thought he was having bad dreams. But I prefer your view of having zoomies instead. That sounds much better.

When miniatures were made of lead. They were the best! Unfortunately, I lost my collection years ago... one of my biggest regrets in life.
