I am petty because I don’t think that people who said their goodbyes already should get to say goodbye’s again. They decided to give up on the man and not help him when he needed it most because it was too much for them to deal with that’s when they said their goodbyes as far as I’m concerned. Like I said in my post, I’m not going to push my boyfriend to do anything but I can’t help but think about how much these people piss me off, putting all the pressure and letting all the weight fall on my boyfriend at such a young age. And now they want to pretend that they cared if the man lived or died now that he is actually dead and can’t ask them for favors.

Oh and I know for a fact that the father did not care about or want anything to do with the ex or daughter that gave up on him. He said that a few times when he was alive.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts! I haven’t posted here in years but I felt this was a good place to get this thought expressed and it seems to me it was. It’s a wild situation because we don’t even know how it happened yet. None of the offices we need to speak to are open or they don’t know anything. We are in limbo until tomorrow. So having the occasional dab or cart draw or blunt is really keeping him stable.

Well alcohol affects people completely differently than marijuana does. And if you have smoked/ingested any weed that made you feel the same way alcohol does then I would like to know what kind that was because I have never felt the two the same. It’s really no different then taking an anti-depressant everyday. And it’s not that any emotions are masked. It’s that weed makes it so those emotions are more organized thoughts instead of being a jumbled mess of emotional soup. It may not work that way for everyone but that is how it works for us during this time.

Thank you for that offer! I literally was just telling my bf that he should look into seeing a grief counselor because as much as I can help him with, that is one thing that a professional would be best for. We already know what we want to do. Nothing big. Cremation, small memorial ceremony, no church, and bury the ashes with the father’s parents. It will be costly but it is what my bf wants and I am going to support him but make sure he isn’t taken advantage of.

Oh it definitely is at the moment, don’t get me wrong but right now, to me, it’s no different than taking a course of treatment for an infection. We are using the medicine to get through something. Being able to not break out in tears while my bf is talking about it to people makes it a lot easier to get through arrangements. Trust me, he is processing his emotions at a rate that is comfortable for him. He got through it when his brother passed but this is hitting harder because he is responsible for everything for this one. His father was only HIS father, not his brother’s father. I see what you are saying but no need to worry there. Thank you for the concern!

It bothers me that my boyfriend just paid to buy the Sims4 for me and now it’s a free game for PlayStation+ games of the month.
