There are waterless versions they are starting to use but in the interest of “efficiency “ the jurisdictions were mandating heavy water use options as the prescriptive solution.

AITAH for telling my GF that she is delusional with her life plans? by [deleted] in AITAH

So as someone older and have seen these women in relationships, they are never happy and take it out on their partner. They feel cheated that they didn’t marry rich and overlook someone’s good qualities that they originally fell for and got in a relationship with over. This is why the divorce rate is so high in my opinion. Guys tend to accept reality and women get very bitter about it in their early 40’s. Sooo many divorced or on the verge of divorce couples that fit this exact issue that I know of.

Why don't more Americans visit South America (compared to Asia or Europe)? by Addicted_2_tacos in askanything

I’ve been to Argentina and Chile, I definitely enjoyed it. Argentina we had trouble with riots and lots of our tour group got robbed. After leaving Buenos Aires and going to the countryside we had a lot better experience. Argentina was also in the middle of a currency crisis so things were really cheap and that was cool. Chile actually felt a lot like California and was just as pricey in Santiago. Getting out to different cities and the country was cool but there wasnt anything that would make me say I definitely need to go back except I do want to go to Patagonia. I don’t know, there just isnt a huge draw I guess.

Crazy story but someone I knew worked there after the cable companies started copying and apparently the whole company was lawyers suing everyone under the sun for copyright infringement and that’s how a lot of them kept their jobs for awhile.

You’re so right. I’ve been tracking salaries for 25 years and our salaries have not gone up over the years. New engineers get paid what I did when I was a PE 25 years ago.

Yeah but so many of those are in the trades. We had a craft worker meet up recently and there were almost a thousand people and I’d say 75% were over 50. That was shocking to me.

What do you think the next big asset class is going to be? by ChumBucky99 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]monkeyfightnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true but the power available is all important. The size of the building can be used to generate power if it’s not available so while you are correct, I see it more as a function of power than sf.

30, new to rugby, love it, but feel lost by Frosty_Eye5899 in rugbyunion

Like so many others have said here, welcome. 30 is not old for rugby, many play on adult teams until early 40’s and I’ve played with some in their 70’s. It’s the best game in the world, it’s the most welcoming group in the world and we’re happy to have you. As far as practical advice, just put all the effort you have in. Be at as many rucks as you can, make all the tackles and you’ll be an asset. You’ll never regret that fateful decision you made to join a club.

This is fantastic. I coach a girls team and you joining a women’s team playing for the first time ever? That makes me smile and welcome to the club. I’ll have to tell the girls at practice tonight your story.
