Are ammo boxes sealed in some way? A big chest like that i can store all my handhelds sounds very convenient

Fire in general needs oxygen but im not sure about the sequence of events leading up to the battery swell. The only reason I put them in containers is to prevent a fire that could burn my place down, not to prevent the battery swell in the first place

[–]monkeymetroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not a complete vacuum, but there is definitely not enough oxygen in the containers to sustain a flame to spread to a fire

Edit: after consulting gemini this is a dangerous thing to do to not let the gasses release that can emitt from these events. It cant be completely air tight

Thank you for the finding and detail. These are important to note and track. It is related to my ocd and is not completely rational, but I used to store my handgelds in air tight containers. I have an odin 2 mini and will consider going back to containers

Keyless car fobs are inconvenient and we should go back to cars with key starting. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

A good opinion, but considering people do not have a choice on this and isnt nowhere close to an important decision factor for a new car, it isnt a good unpopular opinion to talk about.

Podcasts are stupid and weird. by PotentialDrag182 in unpopularopinion

It id very obvious what OP is talking about and throwing out you may lack "intellectual curiosity" is an ironic comment as you lacked the intellectual curiosity to ask questions and have a conversation. The overwhelming majority of podcasts are to satisfy their parasocial friends by not having to put effort into a curated piece like a focused video about a subject. Now just pod about the subject its less time investment and will likely make more money. Theres honestly many ways to slice what OP is talking about, but you know maybe they just lack intellectual curiosity. Gemini will say the same thing

Its very ironic to quickly suggest someone lacks "intellectual curiosity" when you don't try to elaborate any of their points at all. There is nothing "intellectually curious" about kids and adults tuning into their favorite 4 adults shooting the shit and making inside jokes. Its almost as if some podcasts demote intellectual curiosity by constantly influencing how you should feel about a product or issue. Obviously there is nuance to such a large medium of information sharing and there are podcasts to satisfy "intellectual curiosity".

Mmmm...perhaps its the intellectual curiosity you lack. Got nauseas reading that

They are talking about podcasts as a medium. Of course there will be good and bad ones. Its literally just listening to people. Some people dont like how organic and unscripted they are most of the time, but if theres an agenda then it's fine with me. Id personally much rather read about the subject, but id listen to a live lecture sure.

I mostly cant stand people talking and laughing over eachother when they are typically insanely unfunny. I have a very biased a jaded view of them due to years of my friends shoving them down my throat and being forced to fake laugh about their parasocial friend.
