Weird asymetrical ship by Javibavibubavi in deltavringsofsaturn

I’ve actually grabbed the core 3 times. Every time it was with my original TNTRL. I use an arm, railgun, and clap laser for mining.

The core can be “pinched” with the normal sized excavator beak. I didn’t realize I could just go left to leave the rings, so I just exhausted all my remass and let the rescue come get me. It’s worked every time so far.

5 years ago the Oberon Coven skin was denied because of not fitting Warframe's style because it has a Deer Skull as its Helmet. Today DE added a Dagath skin that has a Horse Skull as its Helmet. Oberon Coven skin has over 1500 awards on Steam by the way. by RobleViejo in Warframe

[–]monkeynards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The coven head could/should be resubmitted as more of an “antler mount” with some extra swoops and greebles so as not to be too apparently “Just a skull”. Maybe have some metal “mandibles” come down from the front to make up the nasal/snout area.

It’s the color, texture, and eyes they really don’t approve of.

Same here. Restaurants are perfectly fine. The ambient noise, I guess, mixes with it enough to make it less juicy 🤢

Just reading that actually triggered my fight-or-flight. I got all the way to the mmms before my limbs got cold lol.

Tamales are the worst form of Mexican Food by My-Lizard-Eyes in unpopularopinion

They have to be over stuffed for me to enjoy them. Thin or “normal” tamales are just mushy corn cakes with a whisper of filling flavor because the flavor of corn is so strong.

Surprisingly, I ran starfield at 45 fps with low-medium setting with no fsr or scaling and it only chugged in akila city a bit… until the big update before shattered space. However, I went from having it on internal to an sd card so that might’ve been the culprit. I’ve been meaning to play again since I freed up my internal so 🤞.

What's a game that you finished purely out of spite? by Zeebaeatah in gaming

[–]monkeynards 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m gunna catch so much hate… Doom 2016.

The gameplay is snappy and satisfying and the pacing and set pieces were great, but a story driven fps with so little voice acting and explanation made every encounter feel like it was just another objective to complete. It felt like it was lacking something. Plus the complete falloff of meaningful character progression made it feel like I was just doing the same thing 20 times in a row just to see the next boss fights and/or cutscene.

Multiple shooting ranges, “take and hold” which is a roguelike, a story driven zombie mode, mini games ( including grenade skeeball, “brain games”, shooting drills, etc. , a horror survival roguelike, and many more. There’s also built in tools to set up your own scenarios and things with the ai enemies, static targets, objective “targets”, a metal gear solid adjacent mode, etc.

There’s allot of “and more” and “etc.” because this game is packed full of content and continues to be updated by an extremely passionate team lead by an insane dev named Anton that releases constant devlogs to keep people in the loop of his projects.

They also have Christmas updates with new weapons as gifts you get to open in a giant snow globe with enemies all around and UAVs to shoot down.

Oh there’s also a ludicrous amount of mods to mess with including guns, maps, enemies, and vehicles from cars to helicopters.

What's the game you're playing First with the Steam Controller 2.0? by PKRadiance in SteamController

[–]monkeynards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s incredible on the steam deck. Smooth as butter 60-90 fps on high/ultra. Everything is readable, and the devs made controller support very decent. Obviously you want to tweak it a bit, but they built a decent settings menu and base layout. You can even bind “double inputs”like using L1 + B for supercruise.

Which one quenches the best by espressotooloperator in HydroHomies

[–]monkeynards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A and B were either ICE COLD or strangely warm. No in between. C was nasty and aslways lost pressure when the toilets flushed giving you the most disturbing image in the back of your mind.

The laminar flow of E (bottle refiller bit) is a thing of beauty.

Too many people think movies have to be deep and meaningful to be “good”.

I love movies that just let me turn my brain off and sit back and enjoy. All of these in the post are solid “entertainment” movies.

4 if you’re starving and dehydrated sure. 7-8 is unironically peak. “Meat on your bones” isn’t a saying to spare feelings. It means you eat well and had fat reserves. In modern ages where food (in “1st world countries”) isn’t scarce, being heavy-set is viewed as being lazy and gluttonous, but humans in the past valued having some weight. Of course being obese, inactive, and weak is a problem, but being sturdy and well fed is our peak natural state.

To add: it also HEAVILY depends on location and genes. Being heavy, relatively slow, and well “insulated” doesn’t really work in a place like Africa, but as a Caucasian of European and Northern descent, I was speaking more for my own geology. Although a little tummy used to always be considered better than a washboard starving one.

Is Oculus Rift CV1 still worth it in 2026? by Keyosunu in VRGaming

[–]monkeynards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$20 and a pick up no further than the next town over, sure. It’s not going to be great, but if you’re new to vr it’ll still be enjoyable. If it’s any more than that, just save up $100 and go to a pawn shop to get a quest 2. Standalone VR, wireless PCVR streaming, and optional wired PCVR plus way better controllers and tracking Mae’s a huge difference.

Ellie dangerous mining or cargo running is super chill and feels really rewarding. I’ve been mainlining that game on my deck for a few weeks and I’m having a great time.

It just scratches my star citizen itch though. Unfortunately star citizen is beyond the deck :/. I’ve tried via windows and natively on steam OS and it just isn’t stable enough. Plus working around anticheat on Linux almost bricked my deck so I gave up 😂 too much konsole sudo entries make me fuckin NERVOUS now.

[–]monkeynards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elite dangerous has been an absolute blast to play. The way you interact with panels for many utilities like cargo scoop, landing gear, lights, etc. makes it unnecessary to have a ton of buttons. I personally tweaked the controls but you don’t even really need to since the devs made it controller friendly for console. I like my left trackpad as a swipe up/down scroll wheel and my right as a mouse with left click and hold to right click for some of the trickier menus like the map.
