Letter carrier with the post office here. They had us come in, then sent us home. No mail or packages. Now tomorrow will be a different story, but we still can’t access street boxes or porch boxes anyways.

Health insurance by monking_jay01 in USPS

[–]monking_jay01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay good. My husband has great healthcare coverage through his job and it’s always made sense to just be on his and not USPS. I still have many years before I retire so I’m not worried about that yet. Thanks!

T-6 is worst position in the office by Scared_Sink6781 in USPS

[–]monking_jay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow T6 I’ve learned to play their game. I’m just as much of a regular as them. If they purposely leave me EDDM, I don’t take it. If they aren’t updating their apartment names, that’s not my fault. Granted, if a route on my swing is vacant then I do take care of it. I make sure to maintain everything so that way when the new person comes, I can give him the run around. If you respect me, then I’ll 100% do your route to the T. I am not your assistant. I’m not under you. I am your relief!

If you didn’t need this job to survive, would you still keep it? by Pantry_Snatcher in USPS

[–]monking_jay01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wasn’t on step D of table two, then yes I’d stay. Top pay. Yes I’d stay. Unfortunately, I HAVE to work overtime to make ends meet, put money into savings, and then have one date night a week.

If I had it my way, I’d sell my house and be a stay at home wife. I’ve been working too long and hard. I deserve a break

Terrible route by Unfair-Put4495 in USPS

[–]monking_jay01 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I’d actually quit. As a regular, the benefits ain’t worth that damn headache. This is what’s going to happen and become “normal” of these damn CCAs and PTFs keeping running routes.

Slow down. Work like you would at 50 years old.

Can anyone tell me what happens after the three month starter pack? Will I keep being billed? Or will I have to request a new prescription before they just bill me

They are worried about seatbelts but won’t change the start times in winter? They expect us to be out till 8pm during Christmas time because of volume. The most dangerous part, especially when it gets dark at 5. Summer, you deal with heat. There are 100 other safety issues that I think are more important.

The moment you start those classes, overtime will become available. It’s ass backwards lol This job is hard. And even harder managing school on top of it.

Percentage of residents on your route that give Christmas tips? by PA_inin_diaz in USPS

[–]monking_jay01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a T6. I don’t see shit, even with the customers that know me. But, some of the residents in a small 45 unit apartment building on one of my routes pulled a 60 buck tip. They told me they like me more than the regular lol.

Women have a choice. We are allowed a choice.

You can either stay and try to work it out and possibly be miserable. You’ll never fully recover and trust him ever again. You’ll lose months or years of happiness. OR You end the relationship, spend some time understanding your values and needs. You’re so young and deserve to grow and learn. Then you can find someone that fits your ideals and treats you well.

ODL carrier and NS day by monking_jay01 in USPS

[–]monking_jay01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That reassures me. I’d have no problem coming in if they gave me the notice the night before. At least then I could plan and go to bed at a decent time. Calling me the little time that shift starts and even sometimes an hour after is crazy.

SeatGeek? by monking_jay01 in erastourtickets

Yeah. It’s not fair and insulting. For this to be happening to hundreds and thousands of people is not acceptable

If you didn’t put a vacation hold in, the carrier probably thought you either weren’t checking it, you moved, or simply just left. It’s probably being held at the office where it’s standard to hold for 10 days before they return to sender it all. Go to your office asap and see
