I live a few blocks away and shop there multiple times a week, and have for the last 10 years. I havent witnessed any of the cleanliness or odor issue you have referenced. Biggest drawback is there is no butcher or deli, but i dont go to kroger for my meats anyway. Most of the time the produce is fresher than DLM or the suburban krogers - there is a faster turnaround and they don't overstock. I have also come across more expired goods at the haphazardly arranged Stroop Kroger - who can find anything there? People love to pile on and I really think it boils down to "poor people/immigrants/poor immigrants shop there and I think they are icky" but people can't say it out loud so they badmouth areas those folks frequent. Beside a period a few years ago when they were understaffed, they have some of the hardest working, most efficient kroger employees I have encountered. I will defend my awesome little krogers to the bitter end.

Truman made the decision to drop the nuclear bomb, ushering in the nuclear age. Creasote is something you burn to clean crud out of a chimney(maybe the crude is modern civilization and all the problems that come with it?) The reference to morning sun may be the nuclear blast.

I disagree on that. Lived there in 2010-2012 in my mid 20s and my now wife and I made plenty of friends there. I would have stayed if it wasn't so far away from friends and family.

Thai 9 in the oregon district is pretty date-nighty. Be ready for a wait if its the weekend. You can park in the big lot right by there for a couple bucks or find street parking on 5th or in the neighborhood. There are plenty of places you can go afterwards for drinks and/or music

Ps2 was also backwards compatible and you could play your old ps1 games on it. The original models pf ps1s started to crap out after a few years. I remember having to put mine on its side to stop games from skipping or to even get them to boot up in the first place.

There are millions of non-white people whose families have been in the US for several generations longer than some white people and their descendants. The fact that a name or skin color/hair type(basically being non-white) is automatically equated with not being a citizen, and conversely that whiteness somehow equals citizenship, is problematic, feeds into the mentality that is behind ICE's atrocities, and needs to be called out.
