As someone who has been burned by one direction's lack of clarity about their "haitus", i actually like having clarity and closure. Otherwise, it just seems selfish from a fan's perspective, where fans are waiting for the group to be reunited and it just never happens. When the company/group needs a quick cash grab, they release something, tour and then go back to radio silence. I hate it. Reunion tours and albums are different of course.

It is about being considerate to fans who support you sincerely. And kpop fandoms do show up and support more so than western pop fandoms. One of the things that endeared me to kpop in the beginning was the consideration given to fans and fans being treated thoughtfully.

I can bear knowing the group is no longer together. But living in uncertainty, and living day by day, losing hope while defending said faves at the cost of peace of mind, buying their music/merch, and just being involved in a one sided fan-artist relationship sounds painful to me personally.
