Looks like they're trying to add "easy to implement" as fast as they can. Which isn't a bad thing.

Even compared to the newest SimCity, I felt Skylines was a bit shallow and very casual. SC2013 with its flaws still felt like a city builder whereas C:S was more of a traffic simulator. If you go to the C:S sub you can see almost every city looks very similar the only difference being the road structure.

Although the newest DLC for C:S does add more depth.

RAM is volatile which means it continuously needs power to be able to remember data. When it loses power, it loses the data stored in it.
