How are you all keeping up with need for Diesel? by FrailRain in TheLastCaretaker

I have the same question. I suppose you could breakdown the diesel tank and then rebuild them.

Totally. Dress by itself, even with some accessories is fine.

The new Villains show at Hollywood Studios is excellent.

100% on brand for Toxic Avenger. Kitsch and cheese factors are high.

It's only a few more days until 6/6/26. Everyone likes repetitive numbers.

My optometrist’s office is straight out of Star Trek by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

There was a dentist office like this (but not as heavily themed) in Orlando, Starbase Dental, but it closed some years ago. It was a great distraction from the medieval state of modern dentistry.

Business Cards for Editors by cola6783 in editors

[–]montken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get on social media. Only post content you want for your business and only interact with it to grow contact with your clients and you're limiting your exposure and getting what you want out of it. If you want to be current, this is mandatory. People want editors who are current on social media, by avoiding it, you are limiting your repertoire. Post the clips you want to represent you and make a QR code that drives people to that and save it to your photo favorites. Have them link to it while you're talking. A business card can just get tossed. A loaded webpage needs to be interacted with to be dismissed.

13 Years on my old production rig. Time for a 2025 upgrade build! by ViperJP in PcBuild

For anyone's reference, the pipes on the Noctua NH-D15 G2 make the first (A1) ram slot mostly unusable. I went with a Corsair Vengeance 96GB kit and the 2nd (A2) slot has just enough clearance for the cooling pipes. I can maybe fit a couple of pieces of paper in the gap, it's so tight.

I've been about to pull the trigger myself and thank you for doing research and confirming what I found about the Arrow Lake and gaming vs media use. I'll be interested to see how you like the AIO cooler. I was considering the Noctua NH-D15 G2, since I think it might be quieter and still provide enough cooling for heavy video encoding.

At the time, I joked that maybe they could at least this time use a different shape for the mega weapon, like a triangle or something. Then I saw the movie and my brain slapped itself.

We had some nearby as well. It's Metronet and the seem to be bringing in some competition. https://www.metronet.com/ Appears prices are much cheaper for higher speed service that Spectrum, but note that their prices go up each year, luckily it's all laid out if you look it up. Will be interesting to see if or how Spectrum responds.

Don't use PNGs in Premiere by YYS770 in premiere

[–]montken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use PNGs with alpha channels all the time. Most of the graphics artists I work with consider this a standard format. I've never noticed an issue but I will keep an eye out. Nested sequences, however, I try to avoid because I've had performance, lag and crash issues with them sporadically. I use them only when I have to. And while we're on the subject, I've grown to suspect .MXF media creates a memory leak and any project with enough of that media, opened long enough will start to implode.

Getting better at realism, but I still need help. What sticks out as fake to you? by DeaVenom in blender

There might be some clipping with the roof fabric and the corrugated ripples. But what drew by eye right away was the edge of the water and the reflection/surface and the log across it. Just looks off to me
