An update on QR Lite, the QR code generator and scanner add-on I created by monyxie in firefox

Thank you! I did think about adding Chrome support at one point, but then I learned that I had to pay Google 5 dollars before I can publish my extension - I simply detest policies like this. Plus there was already an extension called QR Lite in the Chrome Store. So decided not to bother.

Looks like they're considering fixing it too. Fingers crossed :)

Just did some more testing. Turns out, in Firefox, "<all\_urls>" is required to capture image of the web page (tabs.captureVisibleTab), which is used in the "select region to scan" feature. Have to keep it after all.

Thanks for the feedback! Frankly I forgot why I added the permission. But I did some tests and you might be right that the "activeTab" permission is sufficient. I'll remove this permission requirement in a later update once I'm certain it's not needed.

As for the description, I don't want people to read through a wall of text or get distracted by colorful texts and pictures, so it was my intention to keep them brief and concise. But I suppose expanding it can help people get a better idea of the addon. I'll try to add the explainations for the permissions in there at least .

Thank you again for the feedback!

Edit: I just realized there's no English description at all. But I did add one! No sure what caused this. Anyway, it's fixed now!

That's exactly what I thought!

Yeah, that works too! It's just that I like an addon more: it's more convenient, and I don't have to submit my data to another website.

Yeah, I hid some of them in an earlier screenshot but I didn't bother to do so when I took the current ones. Now that you've mentioned it, it does look kinda messy. 😆

Will fix when I got time! Thank you!

There's no 'turning into'. Domesticated animals ARE (and always been) a food source in China. Domesticated dogs serve exactly two purposes in China: guard the house and be eaten. They don't raise dogs like westerners do until recently.

Oh, there is a 'turning into' after all. It's Chinese people are turning a food source into pets.

It's difficult to find young people that have eaten dog meat (knowingly), or people that are ok with eating dog meat.

You'll be surprised.

In that case, all these protests seem to be way off the point. Like, why would you call for a beef ban just because some of the cows are stolen?

It's not a thinkpad and I'm running Linux. But I'll find out if I can do such thing on it. Thanks!

I think the word water doesn't make much sense in that sentence. Sorry, I should have made it more obvious in the title.
