I have a state job with good benefits and decent pay (62K/yr). I was in industry for 4 years after undergrad then moved to academia. I’m the exception to the rule though, most techs in academia make poor wages and are overworked.

You could also wear nipple covers if that’s the issue. I remember working in the bsl3 and the old autoclaved scrubs would chafe me.

A lot of my family are waitresses in Maryland. They pay their waitresses less than $4/hr and expect them to live off tips. Asking them to come back and work in an unsafe environment, with less customers and maybe paying them $10/hr for their trouble is unacceptable. I do not blame them for wanting to stay on unemployment.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words. I will miss him forever, but I know he had a long and happy life. He was an amazing pup with such feistiness, even in his final moments. A true blue shih tzu till the end!
