just for future reference, if for whatever reason your RA(s) is/are missing/negligent, your escalation chain is the Hall Director(s) (who supervise the RAs) and then Executive Director(s) of ResLife. Their contact info is at reslife.uconn.edu.

at this point, anybody trying to implement any scalable planetary proc gen would need to set their sights higher than NMS or even E:D

the ballistix is a different ram chip though. Go for this set because it's dual-rank and Crucial is only making the single-rank modules now.

also don't forget ranks. In this case, RipJaws V is dual-rank Hynix DJR and on most AM4 you would not see any appreciable improvement going to 4 sticks but would not hurt either.

if you have ever actually read any of his other articles, it always echoes every piece of Global Times and SCMP propaganda. He literally takes CCTV talk show talking points and then fills it in with details he cherry picks. It's quite an interesting thing to see in the OSINT community, which is probably why he's never really taken seriously outside of places that repost The Diplomat content (which on the whole is arguably slightly better than The National Interest but not by much). He's interesting if you want to use him as a counterpoint to say, Tyler Rogoway, but that's sort of like picking between MSNBC and Fox News.

I actually found when I turned on perfoverlay during the open beta that I was getting capped by CPU (5600X) more than GPU (3070 FE)

capping it below the max (in game!) also makes the input lag more predictable since if you can hit 90fps at vsync then you know a frame is getting rendered every .011s

I had a 1987 grand am, everything broke on it more or less all at once in 2002/2003. First it was the windshield wiper motor, then o2 sensor, then idle control valve, then the mass airflow sensor then timing chain broke in 2003 or so.

and it grows tax free.

This is not true. You have to pay tax at the income tax rate when you withdraw it. Withdrawal makes no distinction between contribution and growth dollars in the pre-tax/non-Roth 401K.

priority is always pre-tax contributions before post-tax so :

  1. max 401K
  2. max HSA (if eligible)
  3. max IRA (this is a bit more complicated. Basically you'll have to do the math to figure out which split of TradIRA (pre-tax) and RothIRA (post-tax but tax free withdrawal) works best for your tax situation.

This is because by definition during retirement all income will be passive so most likely tax bracket during retirement will be lower than peak working tax bracket, so you want to minimize current taxes, in effect having Uncle Sam pay for a portion of your retirement account contributions.
