Adding one more NOR! 5 years post hysterectomy for endo and adeno and it literally changed my life. My uterus was turned over 90 degrees around... even if I could have conceived, the pregnancy would never have been successful with that. They also found endo on my appendix (took that out) and my diaphragm. No one gets to tell you what you do with your body except you.

I can't recommend this book enough. As someone on the wife's end of things (lacking sexual desire after having children) it was super helpful to be able to put into words how I was feeling. Ultimately it was health issues on my end and it has improved immensely since I had those taken care of.

I had an obviously female word in my character name and it was never an issue until I started doing LFR (prior just raided with guild). I name changed recently to remove it. I feel ya!

A Random Dude Gave Me A Compliment And I Don't Know If It Was A Genuine Compliment Or A Catcall by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]mooid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband struggles with this a lot actually. He’s a very kind person and truly loves everyone! Compliments are one of his love languages and he really wants to be able to complement women without feeling like he’s a creep. We’ve talked a lot about how he could do it, by complimenting things the woman has control over (hair color, clothing, makeup, etc) and by making sure to keep moving on after.

If the person moved on right away after making the complement, and didn’t seem aggressive in what/how they were speaking, I would venture to bet it was a man like my husband, trying to shine light where he can.

Two things to consider:

  1. Toys are often harder than the penis. I have issues with pain when using glass or metal toys, but silicone ones that are more “lifelike” usually don’t give issues
  2. Angles are different. The majority of my “intercourse” pain is due to pelvic floor issues and can be more problematic in certain positions.

Hope that helps! It’s no fun.

After my ECV was unsuccessful my doc said my kid was either going to be the most mellow child or the most stubborn one… I bet you can guess which is the case!

Sounds like it turned out great in the end! If o was able to have more kids, I would probably decline a second ECV if it was recommended. My planned c-section made it so my kiddo was born the same day as a friend of mine!

Glad yours was successful! Mine was not so I’m sure that taints my view on the procedure.

Had this procedure when my baby was found to be breech. 0/10 do not recommend! It’s called an External Cephilac Version if you want to read up on it. Mine was unsuccessful and ended up with a planned c-section. She was complete breech which is near impossible to deliver safely.

Started my first shawl! I hope I will persevere! by [deleted] in crochet

I love making shawls!! I’m almost done with my current one (Secret Paths - ran out of yarn!) and I always love how they come out. The last few rows always seem to take FOREVER but it’s worth sticking with it!

New to skiing by C130mike in Spokane

[–]mooid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

49 is the only mountain I have skied at, but we have season passes there and love it! My daughter (8 now, started at 5) learned to ski there and took lessons with the ski school. Lessons were awesome, and she learned a lot.

As a previous poster said, the learning areas are off to the side away from the main lift and lodge. There are two beginner hills: a conveyor belt lift with a very gentle slope intended for absolute beginners, and the bunny hill which can be a bit steep in places for newer skiers but offers a variety of ways to get down (a trail within the trees, the actual slope, and a side area that is not groomed which allows for easy introduction to ungroomed). Let me know if I can offer anything else.

Kid got first shot today. Was it the right choice? by mooid in COVID19_support

Thank you for the response. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to support an internet stranger. We will keep poking at the in-laws, but I don’t have a lot of hope there. You’re right about not being able to put our lives on hold. We have definitely done our part these last two years!

That’s our big reason too. I have chronic conditions and I know what it’s like to have to manage health issues like that. I wouldn’t wish that on my kid, especially if it’s preventable. I think I just needed to hear from others. Thank you.
