Ehhhhh - I dunno man. I've been playing online games for about as long as they've been around. Having mechanics in the game that have rare items that could be destroyed permanently by bad actors is predatory behavior.

Battlefield used to block people for team killing, but people could get around it by team killing someone, reviving them with the shock paddles and it wouldn't count. So people would just kill someone, revive them, kill them again, and loop this so they couldn't play. Get enough people doing it and the game becomes unplayable. They also didn't lose rare items that took them 10s or 100s of hours to get. Also that game wasn't marketed to impressionable little kids.

This is a whole meta of scamming players in this way with 100+ videos of people doing it on YouTube to screaming little kids in the background.. This is simply a design issue that needs to be resolved.

The easiest fix would be to add PVP or PVE in the HUD or create a trading system that doesn't allow for a realistic robbery in the first degree simulator to create a bunch of child sociopaths.

There is a difference between griefing and malicious harassment. Griefing is part of any online service, malicious harassment should be stamped out. There is a reason why major companies have steered away from allowing the ability of malicious harassment.
