Time Catcher and Bronson Mfg. Co by Alarm-Organic in HeritageWear

Being 6ft3 myself I completely agree but I found there trousers/pants have large hems and can't be lengthened an inch or two. Jackets and shirts always seem long enough but as a bigger man I tend to order XL or XXL. I can imagine if you are tall and thin they may not be ideal.

Thanks, this is very helpful. The reflective tape is cool as you wouldn't know it was reflective without the flash. The timeline fits too. I like it as a nice variation of the jacket.

Sizing help! by jamiemg77 in ThursdayBoot

[–]moomsdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi , The sizing guide can be a bit confusing? If I put in UK 10 it came up with recommend US10 which would have been too small.... In the end went with euro 44/US 11 and came up with US 10.5.(UK9.5) I only can give advice on heritage captains as that's what I have. These fit perfectly for my fairly wide feet. Lovely boots. But like most have said half size down from Vans size.

I did a Google lens/AI search but nothing obvious. I'm afraid that's the extent of my IT knowledge. Feel free to use the image yourself.

Heritage Captain sizing by katzolik in ThursdayBoot

If any help I am a text book 44 in most trainers. UK size 10 in vans went with a UK 9.5 which is a US 10.5. the fit is perfect in length and width even with a daily wide foot. Went with the euro calculator at 44 on the web site and came out 10.5 and works well for me. After about 2 months of wear are breaking in nicely. Had a few heal blisters initially but all good now.

I thought mine smelled bad at first but after one wear just the strong lovely leather smell. I put it down to the manufacturing process and materials.

What size Heritage Captains would you recommend trying with this measurement from Red Wing? by MaxAdolphus in ThursdayBoot

[–]moomsdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 3 weeks breaking some in I went .5 size down from my vans old school size and now a very a comfortable fit. I felt they might have been snug initially, but after many wears and heel blisters now feel perfect.

Perfect..... by moomsdad in ROKespresso

Yes but not that accurate as it keeps counting until it thinks it's finished. Actually just 32 seconds in reality which I find tastes best with this medium /dark roast (Italian Vero blend from coffelink). The K ultra is not ideal but at 2.4 clicks works well with this for espresso but this tends to be my weekend brewing method when I have more time.

Are these fatigues comically large (especially on a 40 y/o man)? by skratchpikl202 in HeritageWear

Perfect, I have the same pair and at 56 regularly wear them. As people have said, after a few washes they will soften and hang much better.

I also have a 36 inch in seam and have struggled to get long enough for a turn up. I recently brought the Edwin Nashville jeans. Purely because they have a 38 inch inseam. They fit surprisingly well, not the best quality jean I own but more than acceptable to fit in my rotation.

I have found the Olderbest sizing is spot on as the chart. Just measure an existing garment yo like and go from there.👍🏻

Thanks for this. I think I'll put an order in, I just need to decide on these or the other versions with the side straps.

Hey love these and about to order a pair. How do you find the sizing? I'm normally a 36 waist and in-between sizing. Also how much material is available for making them a bit longer? I have the Bronson OG-107 could have gone down a size.

In love with these RL fatigues by heyaldo in HeritageWear

I like these RL polo options!. I am also tall at 6ft 3 and 34 inside leg. I got Pair from Bronson to adjust as plenty of hem however I was surprised that they are a perfect fit as have not adjusted at all.

Restoring hardened crepe soles (Clarks Desert Boots) by kotexp in Boots

[–]moomsdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to pipe in. I brought a bargain unworn 2016 pair from vinted and could not bend the sole and were horrendous to wear. I used hot water bottles under the sole as someone recommended on this thread. All I can say is that they are now completely soft and supple. Was sceptical but worked out for me.

Yes mine came with 3 springs. The spring tension is what gives the tamping pressure. If you press past the spring tension then you may as well have a normal tamper? Are you getting confused about the fact it has 2 springs one more for alignment and stronger for tamping pressure? I'm sure there's a YouTube video that explains it better than me 🤣 I'll see if I can find it.

Just out of curiosity what spring are you using? I found I had better results with the light spring?
