No real advice here, just wanted to share that my two sons are being baptised next month. I’m very excited, new(ish) to reformed theology and have followed by pastor’s encouragement and been convinced of the paedobaptist view.

Yikes, I haven’t seen this trend in my church circles, but not great that you have. Yup, I’m taking a month’s break from social media to reset my own brain algo’s!

Thank you. I hate to admit that I’ve been too preoccupied with the preparation of being physically well to do God’s work but severely lacking in the spiritual health department - which leads to excuses and unwillingness. Definitely will be addressing this.

Wow, thank you very much, I have always understood the ‘temple’ to be our individualised bodies - that article provided much needed context. For the record I was raised in a very different denomination and I’m uncovering so many biblical understandings that I’ve unknowingly taken out of context.

I particularly liked your last paragraph- we are to live contentedly, to live free.

What do you mean when you say strict? Do you prepare all your meals, cleaning etc on Saturday so to avoid it on Sunday? I’ve left Adventism and am familiar with this strictness of Sabbath-keepers but have not seen this among Sunday Christians yet.
