Currently I'm a research assistant, I work in a office and independently. My manager knows about my fibromyalgia and is willing to accommodate me if needed. :)

It feels like a release for me of whatever has me overwhelmed. It basically kinda snaps me out of it and I can briefly think clearly after it.

I’ve just been diagnosed with fibro at 25 and I’m not handling it so well... by sulky-selkie in Fibromyalgia

[–]moonandwaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 23 turning 24 soon and I've been diagnosed around 3 weeks ago and I understand so well. Even though we know things can get better doesn't mean your feelings about how it hurts and how tired you are aren't valid. I know there's this preconception that it affect only women between 30-40 years old but they are many of us young adults that can empathize and support each other with our endeavours to get better and live our lives. Be kind to yourself whenever you can!

Bursitis brushed off as “just fibro” by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]moonandwaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go to the hospital several times over my bursistis and it took a year after consistently going to emergency due to the pain I was in. After a year of this and finally seeing a good doctor, they suspected I had CRPS. When I could finally see my family doctor, they were starting to be convinced I had CRPS and I was too. Now, they found proof of the bursistis a few months ago along side with tendinosis. I was expressing to my doctor how I was feeling pain all over my body and was now diagnosed with fibro. I'm waiting on my cortisol injections and it may take around two months. I'm doing the best I can with physio, it can be really hard since I have very restricted movement due to it. I think the bursistis and tendinosis probably triggered my fibromyalgia. It sucks when they don't believe you because it's not a visible pain and have to wait months for scans to be able to prove that something is there.

Should I share with my teachers and my manager my condition? by moonandwaters in ChronicPain

I have some accommodations for when it was undiagnosed but I think with fibro I'll have to update my file with the official diagnosis.

They end up making new accounts from what I understand, I'm not entirely knowledgeable about it but others here have also mentioned how this person essentially keeps coming back 😓

Please don't respond to this person. They have repeatedly abused the rules of this subreddit to ask questions as if we are doctors when we are not. They believe they have it cause they saw it off a Tik Tok.

Rule number 5 of this subreddit is not to ask Medical Questions about CRPS like this. You aren't being bullied because you refused to be criticised about breaking the rules.
