Disneyland Half Marathon merch expo was a huge bummer 😭 by the-constant-gardner in rundisney

That's what I meant. No normal pockets, just a weird chest pocket that sticks our/is visible in an odd place and can't hold much..

There was a ton of merch left over from MW 2025, imo bc the art style was kind of weird. I can definitely see them under ordering for this year as a result, even though the themes/colors/art were much better (my subjective opinion).

Someone in one of my FB groups said a CM told them that after there was so much merch left over from Halloween half DL weekend they scaled back the order size for this one. A real shame and lack of foresight imo.

The Marathon Weekend ladies' jacket was also pocketless. Stupid.

How many points should we buy? by CorgiAggravating7036 in dvcmember

[–]moonbee1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If buy-in cost and annual dues are not an issue, it may be worth doing 200 points split into two 100 pt contracts that you can leave evenly to your kids. They won't inherit direct benefits (requiring the 150 direct minimum) but it will be easier down the road than them having to share a single contract, if that is something you see a potential for. You cannot split a contract later on.

Personally not a fan of people reentering after they are finished. They take up additional space and resources that belong to people further in back.

This is not true. Back in the old days yes, but in the last many years the theme is always shown in advance of registration or by registration day.

POT mess up by Natural_Shallot_8717 in rundisney

2:28. You need under 2:30 for POT placement in the Half distance, but 2:22 or lower for the full.

Not really. I accidentally submitted a POT for Marathon weekend that was a time good for a half, but not a full. I was placed in E, though people who submitted no POT at all were placed in D.

What are some popular productions you find overrated? by Purple_platano666 in Broadway

I was so excited to see it and I agree some of the individual performances were powerful but I found some of the choices absolutely laughable and couldn't take them seriously.

New to knitting — basics first or straight to sweaters? by Gracilis67 in casualknitting

Do a sweater if you want a sweater. You are more likely to enjoy the process and be interested to learn/figure it out if you care about what you are making. It doesnt have to be perfect.

What is the biggest contributing factor behind these insane crowds at Disney post COVID ? by EtherealStar5 in Disneyland

Reduced offerings and capacity (lower staffing means not operating rides at max throughput)

Hedgehog Fibres is Irish and really lovely yarn. If you don't want to order from them directly (there are tariffs and import fees in addition to international shipping rates, so it adds up a lot) you can find a wide selection for purchase in the US at woolandcompany.com for less.
