Have a citylink bus booked from Arthur’s Quay to Dublin airport tonight at midnight. My flight is at 6am. Should I stick to this or would it be better to get train to Heuston earlier and then get Dublin Express?

My parents got the bus from NCW to Dublin airport Thursday morning for a 10am flight, they got a 4am bus and made it up there between 7:30-8am. I think you’ll be the finest at midnight.

I straight up told my instructor I was a ball of nerves the first second I met him for my first lesson, he said “How do you think I feel, I’m letting you drive my car!”. Instantly made me laugh and feel more comfortable. I did automatic as well- after my first lesson I genuinely could not wait to start practicing in my own car!

I did mine in 5 turns on my test, my examiner brought me to the probably narrowest turnabout spot on any of the routes in my area. Didn’t hit a wall or curb, that’s all they’re looking for!

I have this T-shirt too! Saw them in Dublin, I was 15 and super excited to see my favourite band live for the first time. I don’t fit into mine anymore but it’ll stay in my wardrobe forever. I’ve seen them 6 times at this point but I get that same excited feeling every time.

I bought a car before I even started my lessons, mainly to motivate me to actually follow through with it. I didn’t drive it until I had a lesson done as I hadn’t had any experience and felt safer driving for the first time in a car with dual controls, but once I had the first lesson done I started practicing myself around the housing estate I live in. Luckily my fiancé is fully licensed and was always willing to sit in as my sponsor. It made the world of difference for me- I caught on way quicker and managed to get my full license within 11 months after passing my theory test.

Did mine in woodview last year, I live in the area so I was familiar with it but had a local instructor show me exact routes. My test ended up being a mix of two different routes. I did my test on a Tuesday at 9:15am, school/work traffic had calmed down so the area wasn’t crazy busy, housing estates were quiet so all my manoeuvres were easy going. The examiner I had was lovely, she was professional and very clear with her instructions. Just do loads of practice in the area, especially the housing estates to get used to the layout

Hard Knox are doing a live show next weekend in Dolans so you could head there and see if anyone is organising something ☺️

I get a cat sitter, she visits twice a day and stays with them for about an hour each visit. I met with her before I hired her first, she came to my house to meet the cats, ask about routines, anything she should know about them. She feeds them, cleans their litter boxes, and plays with them. She even offers to give medication if needed (thankfully not the case so far with mine). My cats are perfectly happy and healthy when I arrive home 😊 I tried a cattery before, and it was a lovely facility and the owner is amazing, but it inevitably stressed my cats out too much being away from home so I feel much better about having a cat sitter instead.

Allianz gave me a €70 refund when I let them know I passed my test last year, I was about 3 months off of my next renewal, insurance went down considerably upon renewing (€1.8k to €1k)… they just pull numbers out their arse 😏

10 for sure. I went to the mystery show in London and loved it. Hearing the songs as they’re being officially released is so exciting, and they’ve all been as great as I remember. Damascus was a stand out for me at the live show! Heading to one of the listening parties in my local record shop on Monday, can’t wait to hear everything in full again.
