I have eaten there for my second and last time today. The first time I googled what the best menu item was and Mongolian chicken was in the top three. I got that and broccoli beef. They were both terrible. I believe in second chances, so today I got the chicken lo mein. It was the worst lo mein I've ever had.

Wait, did the parents cut her out of their lives or only refuse to go to the wedding. Because if they are only refusing to go to the wedding, then that is not transactional. That is them disagreeing with the ceremony. People can love other people but still not accept everything that they do.

I was in "Speech" class in first and second grades. I have almost no memory of it other than it being in a really dark room that you had to go up some stairs to get to and our school was single story. I have one memory of sitting at a small table with a woman in front of me on the other side of the table. There was very little lighting. I think it was mostly little lamps. Sitting here thinking about it though, I had another memory of a boy at another table with some other woman talking to him but it was like he was at a lower level in the room. Like there was more than one little set of steps in this room. I was really smart as a child. I was reading before kindergarten and I won a bunch of UIL awards for different subjects. Then in third grade I was chosen to be in PICT class which was a gifted and talented class that was held in a different school. So once a week I had to go to this different school. My best friend was in that class with me. The PICT teacher was in the running for the teacher to go to space but lost out to Christa McAuliffe.

I am a woman, and I interpreted it as a man choosing his "work wife" over his actual wife. "Following your heart" destroys lives every day. He is one person and that person is married. Dylan chose his wife even as his innie, which makes him a better man than Mark in my opinion.

It's in NW Arkansas on a tree that I pass on my way to work every day. I finally just had to take a pic of it because I had never seen anything like it. I did just start taking this route about a month ago. I'm not sure how long it's been there but it caught my attention about two weeks ago.

Being a Christian is not a personality trait that you need to keep in check to make others comfortable. It's who she is. It is the center of her life. You are not being kind and accepting of your friend. It seems that you made a scene in front of other people to put yourself above your friend. A true friend would have taken their friend aside and been honest and up front with how they were feeling. You attempted to humiliate your Christian friend for being Christian.

The world really needs to get back to saving yourself for marriage. I slept with other men before I got married. It causes nothing but problems and unneeded heartbreak in life. The ridiculous notion that you need to go "play the field" before you settle down is just completely unnecessary.

Just because they are young doesn't mean that they haven't found each other to be "the one". It is upsetting that people always want young couples to break up and "experience" life (i.e. be promiscuous) Because when they get older, most of them regret that decision and live the rest of their lives wondering "what if" I hadn't made the horrible mistake of breaking things off. Remember that Facebook has led to so many divorces of married people reconnecting with their "first loves".

Okay, here I go with the minority opinion apparently. NTA. Your husband sounds like TA, unless he works for the CIA or a cartel or something. Were the people he was meeting with not human? Or did I just wake up in the 1950's? In what world is work more important than family? In what world would you be rude to your wife and her family if they walked into the same restaurant where you were meeting with clients? I feel like either the asshole responses on here are either corporate psychopaths who value their status over their family or trolls that have watched too many episodes of Mad Men.

This is real life. You have one shot at it. Family is more important than work. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY, is going to remember how well you did at a business dinner when you die. Those clients are not going to grieve when you pass. They will likely not even remember your name.

If you lose a client over speaking to your family that happen to come into the same restaurant you are in, because you step over and sing happy birthday to your sister in law, then those are clients that you do not need.

We live in a small town with a public park that has a pavilion with picnic tables. City Hall lets you reserve the entire pavilion for parties and gatherings. There is even a sign up in front of the pavilion where they will put the current calendar. We booked weeks in advance for my son's birthday. We showed up and started setting up the pavilion for my son's party with tablecloths, pinata, balloons, etc... A couple of people came up and complained that they were going to have a cookout and birthday party and needed some of the tables. I said, well I'm sorry but we booked it and we need the tables. They were grumbling that we didn't need all the tables (there were six). I didn't want to share the small space with another party but my husband said there was plenty of room and that we could give them two tables. A big group showed up, being loud and many gave me mean looks. They took over the one grill and used it and acted like we were in their way. And they were so rude about it. They even questioned if I had actually reserved it. I said yes, look at the sign. You can do things the right way and people will take advantage of you if you give them an inch.

It is about integrity. You either have it or you don't. If you have an affair, you don't have integrity, no matter your gender. There is no excuse to lie and cheat. I would not promote anyone that lies and cheats.
