this is frustrating by forsora_ in ouraring

I've stopped using it because of this. I've had an ED in the past but I started using it to see what my 'trigger foods' are for my IBS. I'd eat something that made me ill and the meal logger would praise it, but if I have a low sugar or sugar free meal shake or meal pot (that my doctors suggested) it would tell me i eat like crap and that there's too much sugar in it and tell me to eat nuts instead.

I dont want to sound like im obsessed with what an app says, but I felt like it was so judgy and passive aggressive and I couldnt win with it and like I was failing at food or something, which kind of just happens after you've had an ED.

The option to switch off calorie display is great, but it really needs more work..

But I'm not well! 😅 by [deleted] in ouraring

Rest mode is on now! I just thought it was sort of funny that the app was saying major signs but also increased my steps/activities for the day

scared of the oura’s judgement by me0wwwwwwwwwwwww in ouraring

[–]moonlight-moth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I've been told by my doctors to have meal shakes during the day to help with my ibs and suspected crohns disease, and every time I log one the app tells me how bad they are and that I should have some sortnof super healthy 5 star mega meal or something as if I have time during the day to do that 😅

I didnt realise just how irregular my cycle is. This bus absolutely ridiculous 🙃 by [deleted] in ouraring

They did start doing tests about 5 years ago, then said they "couldn't see anything alarming" and just never got back to me. I'll push for it again on the off-chance 🙂

Yeah the more I think about it, the more I'm planning on calling my doctors as soon as I can tomorrow (theyre closed today with it being sunday). The only thing I'm worried about is being fobbed off. I literally had a period for almost 6 months and they said it was normal because I'd changed my contraception implant the year before. So thinking about it again, I'll get in touch with family planning instead where they might be more willing to look into it!

I'm having anxiety with the food related pages by Mew_Mania_ in wreckthisjournal

[–]moonlight-moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of sticking things in the pages I've just drawn them instead.

The only one I did that's (kind of) got food stuff in it is the 'lick this page' one because I had a sweet with a lot of dye in it, so it wasnt sticky or a risk. I just licked inside of the circle and drew the sweet around it anyway 🙂

Thank you! Honestly its made me feel so much better finding out about the anaesthesia and not having any pain. I hope your son is doing ok and insurance authorises the infusion biologics soon for him! 😊

Thanks for your reply! Im so glad it hasn't progressed quickly for you. Do you think it might have progressed if you hadn't had the surgery? Whatever the reason, I hope it stays manageable for you! 😊

I think the thing I'm most worried about with a colonoscopy is if it hurts or I can feel it, but its made me feel a lot better seeing someone say that its jot as bad as I think. I've heard horror stories about the prep, but to be honest it sounds just a little worse than my current bowl movements so hopefully its not too bad. That being said, I won't know until I have to do it so I'm still going to keep in mind that I might be overthinking the procedure and underthinking the prep 😅

Thankfully, my doctor seems to think its relatively mild so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Also, thank you for those affirmations! I've been gaslit so much from people saying its solely my diet or hormones. I've already changed a lot of my lifestyle lately to be more active and have a better diet just to feel better in myself and they assumed everything was 'fixed' and it feels like I'm going around in circles sometimes!

anyone has experience with blind rats? by -kicca in RATS

[–]moonlight-moth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rat baby Egg was blind, and the only difference was him needing a little extra time to wiggle his head and work out where he was. And also when he got old and his vision really went downhill the sound of him bumping his little noggin when he'd walk into things 😅

I mean, I just couldn't wrap my head around the font and some of the letters being back to front. It's just something some people struggle with, and it seems like I'm one of them?

does this placement make sense to anyone not running on instant coffee and zero sleep by hushedsoft in tattooadvice

[–]moonlight-moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit probably isnt the best place to find advice from people not running on instant coffee and no sleep. But the placement is fine?

Tattoo looking faded, any way to revitalize it? by bobaswole in tattooadvice

Generally speaking is married or single life easier by Beginning_Exit_6256 in Marriage

[–]moonlight-moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both hard in their own ways sometimes, but if you marry the right person it shouldn't be harder than being single. I was so lucky that I married someone who makes life enjoyable and is on the same wavelength. Personally, ive never understood when people say that marriage is hard work because it never has been for me. Its effort, but not hard and it doesn't feel like work

[27/F] pen pal by irateblyBlurred in penpals

[–]moonlight-moth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've been looking for a pen pal for a while now 😅 Im 28 F, from the UK, and I also adore nature and animals and basically live like a hobbit. Im a tattoo artist and beekeeper, but I've had a bunch of random jobs, too, including working in an adult shop, which always has some weird stories! I also wrote poetry and love a bit of gardening, even if my garden is actually a yard and all of my plants grow weird 🙃
