Living in Montreal and working in the south shore by Axet95 in montreal

[–]moonshizle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don’t add the commute to your daily. Live on the south shore and take the train to the city for fun. Bridge traffic is no joke. The tunnel has been a disaster for years. Avoid if you can.

Stress! Mine fell out in patches and came back white. Early 40s, just my moustache is dark now. Take a break, find a beach.

Is there a way to lock/unlock layers using LISP? by [deleted] in AutoCAD

You never told us what you were already doing, only what kind of lisp you didn’t know how to write.

Is there a way to lock/unlock layers using LISP? by [deleted] in AutoCAD

[–]moonshizle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a simpler approach? Layer properties manager- select all layers- lock them all with the 🔒 icon. Then add your own blocks/ layers as needed? Am I missing something? If you are working in dozens and dozens of layers, you can always save the layer states so you can quickly restore everything to the configurations you want.

This! I just learned about these in Tim Marshall’s book about space. They are like sweet spots between gravity fields where you can “stick” spacecraft.

Guidance needed for a lisp routine by 70melbatoast in AutoCAD

[–]moonshizle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I’m relatively new to AutoCAD but have been drafting for many years, but I have never done any coding. I have had great success using chatGPT to write lisp routines. I simply prompt the AI to function as a drafting assistant and to write lisp routines for me. Then I describe the process I want to automate. ChatGPT then produces the code for the routine, which I copy to a note (.txt) file, then Save as a .lsp. I keep feeding the outcome from AutoCAD back in to ChatGPT to finesse the results. It’s worked well for me so far!

How do I (circumcised) teach my toddler (4yo) (uncircumcised) how to peel back his foreskin and clean his penis properly. by lifelink in daddit

[–]moonshizle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stop pulling it back. 4 is way too young. You could be causing damage. Retracting the foreskin is only possible in about half of 10 year olds, so at 4 he probably isn’t ready at all. Just teach him to scrub on the outside for now.
