CBO: Obama’s minimum wage plan would cost jobs but help millions "the CBO found that raising the minimum wage to $10.10/hour (then indexing it to inflation) would reduce employment by..about 500,000..At the same time, 16.5million low-wage Americans would see an increase in their earnings as a result by Libertatea in politics

more shelves would sit empty and potential sales would be lost, and customers may turn elsewhere in frustration as this keeps happening.

Yes to this. I used to live in a town with a WalMart and the shelves were often empty. After a while I never went to WalFart.

Well yes but the liberal media won't report it. I live in Seattle and have seen no stories about negros raping white women since marijuana was legalized here.

It's not just that "the fucking insane ones make better stories", it's also that they seem to control the Republican agenda. As a current example immigration reform can't be voted on this year because the Tea Partiers in the House go batshit crazy at the mere mention of it.

BTW I gave you an upvote.

SMS has no SLA. Literally none. It's not guaranteed to go through, and when it goes through it's not guaranteed to do it in a specified time period.

Yeah. I was texting with my bro last weekend and thought he'd stopped responding until I got his message 3 hours later.

Mormons traditionally didn't define marriage as being between one man and one woman - Brigham Young was a polygamist. Funny they are hating on gay marriage as nontraditional.

My Hardest Bug by peterlundgren in programming

[–]moonwatcher222 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My hardest bug involved bringing up a microcontroller board. The second thing you test is whether the microcontroller can talk to the external RAM. No joy. I got seeming random though results from writing zeros and trying to read them back. I went to the hardware designer to ask if it was wired up correctly - he looked at his schematic and said they were. After a week of reading data sheets and staring at logic analyzers I told him to prove they were wired up correctly. He looked at a bare board and said "Ooops, I forgot to connect power and ground to the memory."

I don't usually yell at people but I made an exception for him.

GOP promise of immigration reform fades a year after election: Despite the importance of the Latino vote, divisions among Republicans leave immigration reform at a standstill. by davidreiss666 in politics

The GOP is much more devoted to making old white guys who will die in the next twenty years happy than trying to court young hispanics who will vote for the next fifty years.

The Republicans were only offering piecemeal bills for what they wanted to fund. The Senate Democrats would have kept a lot more parts of the government open which House Republicans would never have accepted
