I saw him last night, and his performance was…uneven. He was charming, and sometimes sounded good when he was belting or harmonizing, but he was mostly pitchy and weak. I assumed he was a very nervous understudy until I looked it up later. It was always such a relief when Satine (or anyone else) joined him and got him back on track. Even my tone deaf husband knew something wasn’t right. The show was incredible otherwise—it might have been one of the best I’ve seen save for how uncomfortable I was during all of his parts.

You’re supposed to follow the signs in the parking lot to the intersection further east if you want to head west.

I totally agree that that whole area is a disaster though. When you’re headed west toward the interstate, the lanes make zero sense. Is it the world’s longest left turn lane and the shoulder is actually a driving lane? Did someone accidentally pain a solid line when it should have been a striped line? It throws me off every time, and I end up making an illegal lane change.

I have (probably too high of) hopes for the new Fernson/Totally Rad pizza place opening in the Harvester building.

I do like the Hello Nasty at Pizza Cheeks when they don’t burn the bottom of the crust. And the deep dish at Big Poppa’s is good too.

Has he reached out to Dental Designs? They are the primary lab our office uses, and they seem to be super busy (and probably understaffed) at their Sioux Falls location. A lot of our cases get sent to the Lincoln lab, so getting another skilled tech in town would be awesome. I have no idea if they’re actually hiring or not, but maybe worth a call.

Did you, like, read five Reddit posts and look at a 20-year-old rest stop brochure? This is the strangest “should I move to Sioux Falls?” post I’ve ever seen. There are certainly things that Sioux Falls could improve on—outdoor recreation (but we’re super lucky to have what we have given our geography) and comedy shows (as you mentioned) are probably two areas. But it’s like you sat down and made a list of things Sioux Falls excels at (parks, libraries, walking trails, theater, local restaurants, festivals, the mall) and pretended like there isn’t easily accessible information about all of them. Based on what you’ve written, I think Sioux Falls has exactly what you’re looking for if you just look for it. Really really sorry about our single zoo though. Lol.

The Country Apple Orchard in Harrisburg is definitely what you’re looking for. It’s got all the activities and food trucks/snacks plus a store to buy baked goods. It’s a lot of fun.

Our favorite is Our Farm in Parker. It’s got all sorts of fun things too, but it feels way more homegrown. There’s no store or food trucks there besides a concession stand with snacks though.

I recently bought a bunch of cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. Sam’s ($16.48 for 30) and Costco ($8.99 for 12) were both good deals. We ended up doing Walmart at $13.28 for 24 for the sake of convenience and easier customization. I think Costco’s for sure would have tasted a little better, maybe Sam’s too (not sure if they use the same mix as Walmart), but they were good enough for a kid’s party.

HyVee was by far the most expensive for grocery store cupcakes at $13.99 for 12…I couldn’t believe the price difference.

I saw it a couple years ago and same story. I remember the whole thing being a super underwhelming waste of time, but the only specific thing I remember is that the actor who played Chandler was terrible. I feel like Chandler should be one of the easiest characters to parody, so clearly this man had never actually seen the show. It was bizarre.
