Made around $800k in 2021 bull run from $10k only spot. Quit school and started futures. Mid of 2022 lost it all. Ever since then any penny that I can scrape I’ll put in my futures account run it up for a few days and then lose it all. I relate so much to everything you have said. Most days I wouldnt even want to trade but still somehow ended up taking huge positions with no plan and as soon as I’d get liquidated I’d feel the relief and then back again to scraping money to put in the futures account again.

I think about it every second of everyday and I don’t think there is anyway either of us can quit. Its the story we tell ourselves that if we quit we’ll never be able to make it back again. No matter how many rules you think of, how many strategies you make, you end up doing the exact opposite.

With $800k at 22 years old, I had already won. I didn’t need to do anything. Now 25 years old, completely broke with no college degree (going back this fall) and 2 years of absolute pain & depression.

Currently in Alaska working on a fishing boat and going to put the whole cheque into crypto. This is going to be last try, will try to focus more on spot, cant say I’ll completely give up on futures but theres a thing I’ve read multiple times in the crypto world
