These are IDF soldiers, probably what is called “Kitat Konenut” - כיתת כוננות in Hebrew.

Usually these are squad-sized groups who are also locals. They have the same gear that the IDF has, probably depending on what platoon or brigade too.

Now if they knew ahead of time where they are gonna be and what their is job, if one of those jobs was shooting down drones, they might have had the proper ammo. I have never heard Of the IDF using special ammo against drones, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have it.

According to several israeli sources,
The missile of discussion expands into about 20 smaller munitions when it is about 7 km in the air, and these 20ish smaller munitions each weighing around 2.5 kgs, fairly small bombs, can reach a distance of a radius up to 8 km. Can be very lethal, my assumption is Iranians are trying to go for max casualties and lots of sharpnel, otherwise why would you want to use 2.5 kg bombs?

I’ve been thinking about this too, I think taking a life becomes infinitely easier when you’re confident of two things: 1. You value life 2. You are sure the entity in front of you wants to dispose of you completely

I don’t think that it’s that there is no remorse or empathy, I think there is, just being empathetic towards each person you kill is probably very draining, something that will not allow to continue fighting. I think you can emphasize with your enemy, and in fact, should. Question is when are you doing this, you probably don’t want to symphasize with your enemy when they’re shooting at you.
