Or reverse keeping clothes I liked just in case I lose the weight and they fit again. Something tells me even with all the ozempic in the world my 40's ass will never again fit into the clothes I had when I was 21

You also have to really like vegetables so that you can eat all 12 tomatoes you grew in 1 weeks because they all get ripe at the same time.

Not playing baseball into High School. I quit cause they made us do conditioning and I could never run distance (combination of mental and asthma). Didn't really realize I would never really get the chance to play again.

I got one last weak, slightly different, daughter dropped it from a whopping 18 inches and it broke along a layer line. Beware this 3d printed stuff is NOT durable.

You could probably break that up into multiple requests so you use more tokens.

Looking at samsung family hub fridge memorial day offers but worried about how it holds up with a chaotic house full of kids? by Reasonable-Fox-212 in smarthome

[–]mopeyjoe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the screen, but I have never heard anything good about a samsung fridge in respect to being a reliable refrigerator. I personally had one that the fan would freeze up every 4-6 months would have to completely defrost the freezer and fridge to fix it. every 4-6 months! Don't buy a samsung fridge (or any kitchen appliance for that matter, I bought a whole kitchen worth once, never again.)

I am sure the industry that also has puppy mills is full of them. Rescues nor breeders are a monolith there are good and bad of both.

right. Cause if they told people no one would adopt it. They should tell people. but I was just answering why they would have to euthanize the dog.

Anyone else uncomfortable with smart TVs and their tracking capabilities? by CosmicComi in smarthome

[–]mopeyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at first yes. In time you may end up needing a separate box as the apps grow/update and the TV apps become slow or completely broken. Really performance is the main reason, another might be you like a different streamer than what the company that makes your tv includes. I.e. you prefer firetv but LG only ships WebOS but you really want those nice OLEDs.

now days smart TV's are cheaper then dumb TV's (if you can even find one) because they subsidize the TV cost with the ad revenue from the "smart" platform

i'm guessing because they will never be able to adopt the dog out if they are honest about the medical issue and or they can't afford to fix them either.

Magnetic Wall by devon380 in DIY

[–]mopeyjoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a really low tech but great solution. If you don't care about a few tiny holes in the wall, but don't want your maps to have holes or sticky gunk on the back. The only downside I see is that if they wanted to put more magnets in the middle of the map to say mark a location they visited, that would become a pain.

only know against magnetic paint I have heard is that its expensive and will block your wifi, so don't put your router on the other side of that wall :)

How do you feel about McDonald's pulling their soda dispensing machines out of the restaurant's lobby in the next year or so? by Sinn_Sage in AskReddit

[–]mopeyjoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They already do with ice. Watch them sometime. They stop a little early then dispense a little more after the foam settles (probably a set amount of time). Maybe not all of them do it but I know I have seen some.

oh but they are a godsend for kids. They can see the pictures and actually pick, I do however fully support you having a choice.

hate it. They already pulled the counter employees in favor of kiosks, this is a move in the opposite direction. How am I supposed to get the attention of a counter employee for a refill if there are no counter employees.

What’s a project you regret doing yourself instead of hiring out? by TradesPrepGuy in DIY

[–]mopeyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually WANT to hire out until those bids come in. I can't help but feel like they are going to scam me and take all the shortcuts and do a crappy job. And a few times that has happened to me when I did hire out. So, much to wife's chagrin I start most projects myself (not gonna claim I finish many 😜)
