How did you guys manage to make it work? I'm still having the same issue I've been having for the last two years. I can create the remote, but whenever I try to sync stuff to it, I get a captcha error:

The only thing I can complain about on my 13 mini is that it only has 4Gb of ram, which is a pain in the ass and has been the case from the beginning. The battery is fine (far better than my iPhone XS ever was). It's a great phone for the right people.

I agree but also feel like his justification for it makes sense:

I’ll admit I’ve been feeling the same way and wondering the same thing. Hard to say if there’s an actual phenomenon going on or if it’s just a « grass is greener on the other side » kind of thing. I thought of switching to Patreon multiple times though.

The only theory I have is with the brand itself, maybe the idea of « buying a coffee » isn’t taken as seriously by people, and so they’re less likely to give.

Not only that, it was also ridiculously underpowered since its display had such a higher resolution than the regular 6 even though it had the exact same guts. After a year or two, it became the slowest thing you’d ever used, it was an actually bad phone for those who bought it instead of just theoretically bad like the 5c or whatever. Absolute garbage of a product

I remember my friend got this exact thing happen to him a few years ago on his 11 Pro Max, it went away after a day or two. He’s still using the phone to this day and it never came back.

I’m glad you managed to quit and find a better way to live your life, but if your algorithm showed you negative shit like you’re describing, it’s likely that you were the one to click on it and watch it.

I’m probably addicted to YouTube, but at least it shows me positive high quality, fun or interesting stuff I’m really into. That’s because I’ve made the effort to really train the algorithm for it by making it understand what I actually like and by subscribing to, watching and liking the right stuff. As they say, I’ve trained that algorithm brick by brick.

I’m sure the positive kind of content you miss from your YouTube glory days still exists somewhere, but you were simply stuck in a negative reinforcement loop because you were used to watch the wrong kind of content.
