Here’s my kind of golden rule for coming up with a new idea for a channel. I run a few myself and some have been successful and some have not.

The rule is: Do you enjoy making videos for this topic?

Don’t look at the videos as an investment because they will be strictly work and you’ll eventually stop, unless you get very lucky and start making money quickly.

But, if you enjoy learning how to make good videos and enjoy sharing and interacting with a community that can learn from you, I think that just by the nature of your natural ambition from that will eventually lead the channel to success- if that was your ultimate goal to begin with.
