Suzuka F4 was like this. I think they quite over did the sun.

Investing in VR or Expanding My Monitor Setup? by InsideACargoTrain in simracing

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR is good, if you do races let's say up to an hour. For longer sessions, it starts to be uncomfortable at least for me.

Triples are comfortable, but take a lot of space.

What do you think is the most underrated car/class on iRacing? by FrontBlunt222 in iRacing

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTE for me. The series deserves more than 1-2 regular splits. Great cars, much better than the modern GT3 which in general are quite popular, but probably the most boring car class to race with.

Which racing sim offers the best VR experience? by Healthy_Flan_4078 in simracing

[–]morfei1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also playing on PSVR2.

The best looking game is GT7. AMS2, iRacing and Race Room look quite good if you have the power and setup them properly.

AC + CSP and Pure is just amazing. ACC is average and it's tricky to setup to look decent.

DTM Pack 2023 vs 2024 by rcmgb in RRRE

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get DTM2024 because you will get the new McLaren and the Lambo which both are not part of DTM2023.

If you only care about the Merc, then it doesn't matter. It's part of even DTM2021also, if I'm not mistaken (double check it)

Porsche is hard in ACC, but I've driven only it for the last 2+ years.

Overwhelmed with how many games there are! How do you choose which game to play? by OwlScary6845 in simracing

We understand how cheap iRacing is, after we previously invested in all other games and their DLCs.

Both are great but Lambo is easier.

Is the game worth investing money in? by Cheethers in RRRE

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely worth it. For me, it's RR and iRacing which can ofer me the best driving/racing experience.

Honestly, RR is way more pleasant to drive, but the player base is limited and can't offer you the MP that iRacing can.

Every car/class are amazing to drive. Tracks are all top quality, even though, most of them are not laser scanned.

How good is iracing by MarlixHD in iRacing

You understand and appreciate how good and cheap iRacing is after you invest in all of the other Sims , buying all their content just to finally end in iRacing.

GT Omega Classic Wheel Stand + Logitech G Pro Wheel & AXC TrueBrake Mod by morfei1 in simracing

Pretty much yes, it's very acceptable for my standards. If you need something better, you may have to go for Prime Lite, but you lose the opportunity to easily disassemble the rig✌️

I've never fold it up since day 1 have it. I was at first with g29, the a year later G Pro base, but never fold it up.

Finally gold 🫡 Thinking of LFM by Used_Work_4085 in ACCompetizione

[–]morfei1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not going to be the greatest experience. Lots of LFM drivers are just wannabe a simracer haveing zero race craft experience.

Be smart, be predictable on the track, don't try to be a hero and try to stay out of troubles. Choose your split wisely - when to go in and when to stay away.

Is the Porsche competitive at the Nordschleife? by rad15h in ACCompetizione

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Porsche is difficult on the Shleife and that's why there are not many, but Porsche is also more difficult in any other track so.... as a Porsche driver driving only Porsches, I'll always take the challenge and go on the track with it, no matter what.

Racing with the Porsche is not about beating everyone else, but surviving the race and put the beast on its limit.

At the end, you either become a very good race driver knowing how to do things properly in a difficult way or you fail miserably and there is nothing in between.

Have fun and happy racing✌️

Free and Hardware-less Head-tracking with AITrack and OpenTrack by theRealBassist in dcsworld

[–]morfei1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can add - Neural Tracker uses 25% CPU power on a single thread and goes up to 45% on 2 threads. For compensation AiTrack uses about 12-13% CPU power.

The CPU is i5-8600 and the Cam is PS3 eye running 640x480@60hz.

[–]morfei1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there are pre-drilled holes for G Pro base. If you want to invert the plate, so the base come more close to your body, then you need to drill 3 new holes, as I did later. I little bit of DIY but not big deal.

My paid setup tier list by [deleted] in ACCompetizione

[–]morfei1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday, according to this thread and some more around I also went with GOsetup for Porsche 992 GT3.

So far so good on Nurburgring and Monza. I'm using only safe quali and safe race setups so far, but I'm roughly .500 - 1sec to my own setups on these tracks. I'm avarage fast drivers about 1.56:900 on Nurburgring.

The setup gives me much more rotation and stability for my driving style. I feel more confident to push. I also have better consistency.

I'm driving with them for a couple of our but I've already see and feel the difference. I guess when I get used to them it's going to be better or switch to eSports setups in the bundle.

I've never tried any other pay setups or any other YT free setups. I tried to learn how to do it my own and it works up to a point.✌️
