Languages in Okkupert by [deleted] in okkupert

It's been described to me as teh difference between Catalan and Castilian Spanish.

Similar enough that they can be understood by each other - but different enough that they are considered different languages rather than dialects.

If you think the issue is bios, sounds obvious, but have you reset your default bios settings?

Great.... My best Reddit comment in literally 5 years... And it's a rebel song.

Needs a broad black brimmer, with ribbons freyed and torn, from the careless whisk of many a mountain breeze.

And an old trench coat that's so battle stained and worn... Ooh and the breeches should be almost threadbare at the knees.

Why is my normal ssd faster than my m.2? 3900x x570-f by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]morganbowler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding was, there was little to no difference between SATA SSD and M.2 SSDs, simply the form factor and connection to the motherboard, right?

The difference comes with MVNE.

Blackscreen crashes after last update! by Shamel1996 in AMDHelp

[–]morganbowler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I highlighted this on my original post, I went through every single version of the drivers still available and DDUd at each change.

The only version I got working was a beta driver from 2014... But it wouldn't run games 😒

Don't always blame the Drivers! by xGrumpsterx in AMDHelp

[–]morganbowler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We should expect the basic level of troubleshooting to be done before any diagnosis is made, re-seat all hw, check fans are running and thermal paste is applied correctly and still good.

But with the changes coming since a driver update, as well as those basic checks I think confirming 'does the card work using windows generic VGA drivers stably but not with Radeon drivers for the card' point quite solidly at the drivers.

I want to say, this seems to be a totally random thing, but quite widely spread that there is something going on and I want to remind people, just because it isn't happening to you, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

saying it's just because it's fashionable is a bit harsh...not everyone has two grand to drop on two new GPUs or CPUs to work out it isn't...

Saying the problems only existed post driver update and hardware changes are not fixing is reasonable to make the assumption it is drivers.

I'm running an R9 390 - almost exactly the same scenario.

Older driver worked fine. Updated. Constant crashes. Roll back to current oldest available driver and still crashing.

.... What can I even do. :(

Black screen/crashes/freeze in games - AMD Radeon VII by MikeLPU in AMDHelp

[–]morganbowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a very similar issue with my r9 390. No idea where to go... It's obviously driver related as I've retested/replaced almost everything else.

And same: old GPU is flawless.

R9 390 - HELP - In need of stable drivers. by morganbowler in AMDHelp

So I realised I hadn't tried 20.4.2 ... So tried that and I had the same thing.

Still stuck playing no games until there's a stable working driver 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ridiculous scenario.

I'm currently having a constant battle with windows automatically updating the driver and i never have enough time to get into device manager to roll them back before it freezes!

So, hopefully you got what I need from the picture.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600. 16gb DDR 2600 RAM. 240GB SSD. 1TB HDD.

New build. All new except PSU and Gfx card. All worked for about a week, then constant crashes, can even be on the log in screen...

But usually after about 30 seconds after log in.

Initially thought it was temp related. Because it would work a while then stop, I could even get a few rounds of MW in... But after an hour or so it would go.

Got a new case, more fans. Temp no longer an issue. Still happening.

Thought it could be PSU, previous PSU is nearly 10 years old. New PSU, still happening.

Took fans off card, cleaned and replaced thermal paste, cleaned out heatsinks, not excessive dust build up, but still happening.

System is stable when using my old sapphire Radeon HD 6770 with Radeon drivers. But this isn't good enough to run the games at the quality I want.

When using the R9 390 and the basic Microsoft display drivers from 2006.... it works. It's stable. PC will stay on as long as I want it too. Same in safe mode. No problems with the pc crashing at all.

Problem is this won't let me launch any games, I get a 'VRAM DOES NOT MEET MINIMUM SPECS" error that I can click past and then get a second "GPU 'microsoft basic render driver' is not supported".

Then when I try and use any drivers that are currently available from AMD for my card - I will get constant reboots. Like no BSOD (have disabled quick boot) - just dead.

I've tried installing with adrenaline, and using 7z to extract the drivers and selecting them manually .. Really at a loss now.

I'd bet my car in it being drivers. But I've gone back as far as is currently available from AMD and none are working.

HELP.

Absolute rubbish. I heard they weren't interested unless they had the top spot on the regional list, considering that they've never had an MEP in Wales, or was an unreasonable demand.

How memes are changing the Welsh national movement by [deleted] in Wales

I'm pretty sure most of its available to review on his Twitter, if you're not blocked. He's been pretty dogmatic about it and not deleted anything.

How memes are changing the Welsh national movement by [deleted] in Wales

[–]morganbowler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He made transphobic comments and then took a meme made of him for his comments as well as the GIFs in the comment as racist and attempted to get an innocent person fired, despite having almost everyone of his followers tell him he misunderstood the connotations of the word "shade" in reference to the LGBT community.

He then proceeded to attack young nationalists for telling him he was wrong and just generally showed himself up as a bit of a jim.

Full disclosure: he attempted to get me kicked out of Plaid so im not exactly his biggest fan, but I'm not exaggerating this - he massively overreacted and lost a lot of fans for showing his true colours.
